The only thing I’ve ever somewhat enjoyed here, is the Vegetable Tofu Soup. Had a shrimp noodle dish once too and the shrimp was foul and tasted off. Tonight, I ordered Vegetable Chow Mein (pictured) and Kung Pao Tofu, to-go. Neither were great. The best part.. chow mein had “Bean Sprouts, Cabbage with Crispy Noodles,” just like it says on the menu. Except there were no noodles, other than these crispy strip toppings that resemble noodles, like croutons to a salad, or tortilla strips to soup. These were not noodles. After that it said, “With Soft Noodles $1 Extra.”… Wait, so you’re charging extra for the main part of the dish? Why would you have that as a separate option AND charge for it?? Why would people only want bean sprouts?? It’s so astonishing you have to ask for the egg noodles when the dish is literally titled, “Vegetable Chow Mein.” It should not be called that otherwise. The man on the phone only said “I should’ve been told that.” If there is any confusion about something on the menu, fix it. No one should have to clarify anything. So yes, I was stuck with my large order of slimy bean sprouts with few vegetables for $12.45 (are you kidding). After calling, the owner offered for me to drive back and not charge me the difference to swap for something with noodles. What a joke. So the lesson is, when you order any kind of chow mein, you have to pay extra for the mein. Makes no sense at all. Staff always had been nice but I can’t justify spending money here anymore. Tonight will by my last visit. In response to the owner’s response: I never said anything about Low Mein, the owner brought Low Mein into the conversation. I know Low Mein has noodles in it. We wanted Chow Mein, which also should have noodles. Mein= noodles. I have never in my 35 years ever ordered a Chow Mein dish, have it exclude main ingredient and expect to pay extra for it. Never.

December 21 YES! They have Honey walnut CHICKEN. Huge serving several dollars cheaper than the prawns, but just as crispy and lemony. Once again the mixed veggies were a Star. Perfectly cooked. Including baby corn and water chestnut s. We got BBQ pork for appetizers. Clean and big, with sufficient mustard and sesame seeds. Reasonable prices. Fresh food Great Jasmine tea. September 21 This is a destination place. (We live in Everett.) First time my husband ate three honey walnut prawns! He LOVED it. Never enjoyed before. I was delighted they had it as an appetizer. Enough to enjoy without having waste any. The stir fried vegetables were perfectly cooked with load of tasty mushrooms. FRESH. So many I have good leftovers. Husband got the black pepper chicken. I thought it was lot less pepper than other places. But he thought it very peppery. I thought it was wonderfully seasoned. Music was an amazing mix of musak, pop, country and stage songs. Service very good. Busy place at 6pm week day.

Be sure to come hungry! We were craving good Chinese and hit the jackpot in the north end with Hong Kong Restaurant. Family dinners are priced per head with a two head minimum. We ordered a two person family dinner at a little over $20 pp and still had a ton to box up after feeding two adults and a child. Standard family style - choice of soup, an app, 4 entrees, and fried rice. Pictured is the number 10 family dinner. Service was friendly and quick, what more could you ask for? Interior was super dated, but dont let that fool you. Tables were clean, and food hit the spot! We wish we had enough room to try the street noodles everyone is raving about, but we definitely know what we're getting next time!

I've been here before today's visit, and had ordered take out.

But, my dine-in experience would have been better if I had gone to McDonald's during a rush, with a busload of screaming kids, in line.

The 2 waitresses on duty, a dye bottle blonde, who was a doll, however her hairbunned curly redheaded counterpart was curt, and unwelcoming. Had the house been full, I could have excused her temperment.

The only edible food we ordered (~$140 for everyone 4 adults, and 3 kids), we're the Steamed Rice, the Lumpia, and the Crab Rangoons. Which were amazing! Which is why we were SOOO disappointed with everything else. And the Almond chicken was decent, if not a little bland.

The Broccoli Beef looked and tasted like colored gristle, the Chicken Chow Mein was greasy, and had less vegetables in it than a hamburger. Chow Mein is traditionally 50%+ vegetables for those that don't know. The fried rice seemed like they chopped up precooked chicken strips and stirred then into some rice and added some chives and soy sauce. VERY bland. And what they called "jumbo prawns", a $16 order, was a dozen heavily breaded, dried out, REGULAR SHRIMP. The fried rice, wasn't fried. They stirred it around on a griddle, maybe Nothing tasted or looked like any of it had been cooked together as a dish. Tasted "assembled."

Long Story Short: Poor Service, Sub-par food, and NO TIP.

Needless to say, my family in NEVER...

I have been here hundreds of times. I have always loved the food, but the service today was the worst experience I've ever had with a server. I had never had her wait on me before, but from the jump she did not know the menu and questioned my choice. I usually get #3 with the almond chicken and jumbo shrimp. I asked to substitute chicken subgum for vegetable, she flat out said no, I said I always get that, she said no she can't, well another server went by, we had to ask her if that was ok and she said yes.. brought me pork instead of prawns and made a lame excuse about how people substitute the two. Well she never came back to ask how the food was so I got up to go to the front she says, "what's up"? I told her. she then said let me go check, another 5 minutes goes by she is on the phone. When she comes back to table I explain that we'd like a new plate with the prawns because our food is cold. She says it's only been a few minutes and she would go get the prawns on the side, she said she could not do that, then walked away, came back and took our plates. Well we were over it so we left. Get rid of this terrible server or you will continue to lose...
