I have always loved this store for the selection of furniture. However, I am in the market for a bike. So while I was here buying a chair for my living room, I figured I'd ask to see their bicycles. They keep their bicycles up on the top shelf of a rack (I'm assuming you have to bring them upstairs just to put them on this shelf), and if you ask to have them brought down to test them out, you will not be allowed to do so because apparently it was too difficult to get them on that shelf in the first place. I can't explain how aggravating this is. You obviously need to ride a bike to test it before you buy it. I'm not going to just look at it and then buy it. This was pretty disappointing because I'm legitimately interested in a couple of their bikes, and willing to buy one if it rides nice. My suggestion would be to not keep the bikes there if you actually want to sell them. Or, just don't keep bikes in stock if it's a pain to put them in that location and you're unwilling to put them...

The first time in and.......... A female employee acted like a snobby school girl that couldn't be bothered to ring me up. I had to interrupt her conversation about guys with her female friend and I asked; Do you work here? The only words I ever spoke. She then rolled her eyes and turned to her friend and said loudly, "CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE", and continued with her conversation but now I'm in it and the bad guy and so on. So I just left the building and walked to my car when I saw a male worker and I talked to him.
YES SHE WORKS THERE!!!
My neighbor has had a similar experience with her. The building says "Habitat For Humanity" but apparently no humanity for my neighbor and I which don't physically fit her criteria! Sounds like a fun place to shop right? We will never step foot on their property again and we will be...
Read moreFirst off, I usually LOVE Habitat stores. I love the one in Bellingham. I love the one in Oak Harbor. The Skagit store on the other hand, is a travesty. The pricing is absurd. You'd think this was Sotheby's or The Best of Antiques Roadshow based on the pricing. They're truly trying to sell everything for the most they can imaginably get for it, which is not the ethos of Habitat. Considering that all of the items are literally donated, it's insulting. If you donate here you're effectively assuring that your items will not be accessible to a person who has limited spending power, which I thought was the whole point of a...
