Terrible service! We ordered online and went to pick it up. We went through the drive thru and the first gal claimed they didnāt have our order and that she checked up front and it wasnāt their either. We left to get a phone so we could pull up the receipt. When we returned, we entered the drive thru again. There was one car in front of us, not sure how long he had been there. After about 5 minutes he honked, no one came. He left about two minutes after that without waiting for his food. We pulled forward and waited another 7 minutes until someone came to the window. The guy who came to the window thought we were the guy who left. When we told him he left angry and we were picking up an online order, he told us that he didnāt have an order in the system. We showed him the receipt and told him the card had been charged. He said the card wouldnāt be able to be charged until they did something on the computer. He asked what we had ordered even though it said it right on the receipt. He didnāt ask us if we wanted to order with him or anything. He was extremely rude. We told him we would take our business elsewhere. Now this is the kicker, as weāre heading home without food, we get a call from the store. Itās the rude guy and he says he talked to his manager and found out from her that our order was inside and that the card had been charged and he didnāt know. The manager didnāt call, she had the rookie call. We didnāt go back to get our food and will never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off I believe that if I am going to do a review I am going to make it a quality one. Out of the 4 Sandwich shops that I visit, this one is tied with another for first place. The lowest one I rate I went to once and will not go again, "Jimmy John's" This location has only been open for about a month at the time of this review. The grub is pretty good here at Firehouse. Sandwiches are a little smaller than my other top rated. A little cheaper but You can get a "Meal or Combo" that includes Sandwich, Drink and small bag of chips for a little less than the other top sandwich shop that sells just the sandwich at. Service is good. At this location in Mount Vernon they try to greet everyone with a personal "Hi, welcome to Firehouse". So far every time I have gone there I have been greeted this way. Makes you feel welcome. They have the Coke Freestyle drink machine and I love the Cherry coke. Favorite sandwich here so far is Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. A little greasy but you only live once and might as well enjoy it. I have tried the Hook & Ladder sub as well. I like hot sandwiches and gooey ones. Sauce is the boss. I like flavor. The Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket does both. That is my review. I hope someone finds this review helpful in making a decision for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's more of a meatball sub review than an overall review of the store. The crew here was superior to the last store I visited near Spokane. It's not a bad sandwich. I have just found better meatball sub renditions in the various areas I have worked in that have a firehouse store. . I think the biggest difference is in the meatballs themselves. I don't think that firehouse makes their meatballs in house. At least they don't give that impression to me. Their sauce is tasty and a pretty good cover up. I like the way they present it with a shallow trough cut down the length of the bread. The meatballs placed snuggly from end to end with the tops just protruding above the bread. Then any voids around the ( whole meatballs) get filled with sauce and ample amount of cheese. Straight mozzarella I'm guessing. Nice consistency but just kinda lays there. A little bit of provolone or something stinky blended in as they do at various pizza places would give a little character imo. Tastes far less institutional than the underground train chain but not going to confuse it for a Mom and pop "greasy" Italian joint sandwich. Definitely a good option if you don't have the time to sniff out a one off Italian restaurant that takes pride in...
