Unprofessional and Rude.

I was on a mission to find a decent-someone I can trust to work on my eyebrows after they were done poorly by two other people. So you can only imagine how nervous I was looking for a professional to do them for the third time. Before I moved to Utah I did several months of research and found Kimberlee on Yelp. Given she had really good reviews I gave her a try and schedule a paid consultation, which was $50.

On the day of my appointment, I punched in the address given to me by the confirmation email. The GPS said it would take me about 16 minutes to get to her, however, there was a major accident and traffic was backed up (accidents happens) I gave her a ring at 5:45 (which was the time of my appt.) to let her know that I was basically there but lost bc the GPS had taken me down further. I tried asking her if she knew of these landmarks that were near but she was not able to help and said to punch it in the GPS. She sounded short on the phone but I figured she really wanted to get the appointment going and I felt really bad that I was running late bc of the accident (which I hope the people are ok) and getting lost (bc I just moved to Utah) She soon called me when I pulled into the parking lot and I told her I was on my way in. When I got there, I walked in, she was wrapping up with closing up for the day with trash bags in hand. I was not greeted and she was basically in a hurry to get me out of there. I didn’t even get a handshake or introduction or greeting of any sort, she basically said to me “ I literally have 3 minutes and I have somewhere to be” I said to her “ I’m sorry that I was late (not my fault) and asked if she would like to reschedule the consultation to another day if she’s in a hurry. I really didn’t want to feel rushed since this is the 3rd time getting my eyebrows done and hoping she was going to be able to fix them. She said to me “ We can reschedule but I’ll have to charge you another $50 because I am very busy with back to back appointments” I get it, you are busy but what about being professional and not rude to your clients? She was not understanding at all and I wasn’t expecting her to be at this point. She mentioned again “ I can spare a few more minutes for you if you would like to take off your makeup so I can have a look” I told her that I didn’t trust her at that point and did not feel comfortable for her to work on my brows. You have to have trust on someone that’s doing something so permanent to your face that you have to look at everyday. I’ve never felt so unwelcomed in my life and I just couldn’t believe how unprofessional she was. It just amazes me how she was NOT willing to work with me at all, I didn’t even ask for a refund for my consultation but she made it clear if you don’t take this 3 minutes that I have or I’ll have to charge you another $50 to get on the books. If I could give 10/5 stars, I would. The services Kimee provides are 5/5, but Kimee herself is a whole extra 5/5.

First the services… I originally started seeing Kimee in the summer of 2021 for microneedling to help with acne scarring. I had so much scarring and hyperpigmentation from my teenage years, and would still occasionally break out if I was really stressed or tired, eating poorly, the usual suspects. I did 6 microneedling sessions (3 that summer, another 3 a year later) and saw a huge improvement in the depth/texture of the scarring, the pigmentation, and I just started having WAY fewer breakouts (even after just 3 microneedling sessions). After 6, I almost stopped breaking out entirely, and would just get a stray 1-2 small pimples instead of 4-5 small pimples and 1-2 huge whiteheads. Most recently (fall 2023), I did 8 sessions of jet plasma, and it dramatically improved my overall skin texture (plus the acne scarring). I was SO focused on the acne scarring that I didn’t even realize how much the underlying skin texture and fine lines affected the way my skin looked, and was shocked when I saw the before/afters! Truly, highly recommend.

And, everything I did was made so much better because Kimee was doing it! She really goes above and beyond “nice & personable.” She’s so generous with her time and energy, and I’ve never met anyone who cares so much about their clients — and you can tell she genuinely cares. She’s also not pushy at all, which is a HUGE thing for me when it comes to aestheticians. I’ve never felt pressured to buy a product or pay for a service I wasn’t sure about or didn’t understand. Speaking of, something I always really appreciated about Kimee is that she’s always learning more and taking on trainings to get better at her craft and really be able to explain to clients what a treatment entails and the realistic outcomes it can achieve. There’s so many people that care about what they do but eventually settle at whatever level they’re at, and honestly 9 times out of 10 the level of service they provide is probably just fine and people don’t have complaints. But Kimee is PASSIONATE, and holds herself to a higher standard that just means better client relationships and better RESULTS!

I seriously can’t recommend Skin Spa Utah enough. Your skincare journey will improve just by TALKING to Kimee!

Ive struggled with acne since 6th grade and tried numerous things from natural remedies to proactiv and nothing worked for me. I had every type of pimple you can imagine. I would never recommend a product that i myself didnt use because i know how acne can be damaging to ones confidence and self esteem. I am more than grateful to have came across skin spa acne clinic. Kimberlee is amazing i dont know where to even begin. She is honest, kind, and considerate. The same day i began her acne bootcamp treatment i could already see a difference these products are AMAZING and they work!!! My skin never got worse. The make up she sells is THE best as well i use it on a daily basis and my skin has remained acne free. After following my skin routine as instructed my acne is gone and im starting microneedling treatments to treat my acne scarring and im on my second one and already see a huge difference. I dont regret the money i have spent at all every penny is worth it because i haven't seen anything but my skin improve day by day. I never trusted anyone or any product because i had been let down so many times for years! I promise you this is the place to go if your wanting to improve your skin at an affordable price, how i use to wish i would have known about this place sooner but after my microneedling treatments and finishing acne bootcamp i feel more blessed and beyond grateful now because i finally have the skin i always wanted and one less thing to worry about. I almost forgot to mention the the third procedure that she has done on me is microblading which i did the same day as my 2nd microneedlimg treatment and already loving them!
