Wheeler Historic Farm is a wonderful place to visit, anytime of the year, all year around! The stunning mountain views, the rushing river & creeks, the walking trails, the historic architectures & the animals will make you want to stop & take a photo or just stop & stare at all the beauty that surrounds you. The farm is an ideal place for a walk, jog & or a run. It's the perfect setting for a picnic with the family or a date with a loved one. It's also a preferred place for an eye catching backdrop for many styles of photography. The farm offers many different family friendly activities, depending on the season. The farm has many activities for the whole family to enjoy! They offer Wagon Rides, Cow Milking & many more activities. Look at their website for full details, pricing & reservations. In the Spring, new members of the farm are being born, so keep a look out for all the new babies! In the Fall, they decorate the farm to reflect Halloween, they have a Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze & more. During Summer, they host a Farmers Market where many venues come to sell fresh fruits, vegetables, treats & so many delicious goodies! My family & I, along with our dog, visit the farm at least twice a week. All week long we look forward to the weekend when we go to the farm, enjoy a brisk walk & capture beautiful photos along the way. My favorite part of the farm has to be the historic architecture that's been so beautifully preserved. I enjoy viewing the old farm equipment they have throughout the farm, as well as the new equipment & see how much work goes into keeping this historic farm alive. Lastly, it wouldn't be a farm without animals! Seeing all the animals is absolutely my favorite part. They are all so beautiful & very well cared for. If you decide to visit, please have respect for the property & for the animals. Follow the rules & read the signs. If you bring your dog(s) remember they must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your pet(s). If you forget your doggie bags, they have bags at the entrance & through out the walking trails. They also have several garbage bins throughout the farm so, there's no excuse not to clean up after yourself & or your pet(s).
