Wall's is sort of an adult human enrichment activity. Just like zookeepers have found that if they hide the monkey's food in the straw of their enclosure so that they have to look for it, the monkeys have a better appetite and seem happier, Wall's makes customers estimate the cost of what they are buying. They have a "marked price", itself a bargain over the original price, THEN they introduce a steep further discount on sections that they change from week to week. Like "30% off all lighting" or "60% off back to school supplies". Browsing their wide variety of close out or freight damaged or surplus is interesting, but trying to calculate the discounts turns it into a game of sorts. A game that leaves you with a sack full of bargains and a feeling of satisfaction when you're done....
Read moreI absolutely love this store as well as the employees! It has improved greatly since the first time I set foot into Walls, several years ago. It is so much more organized and the selection is ever increasing! The employees are VERY honest and helpful. The nice young man that works there is super helpful. At one point, there was a mix up with the amount of money I was to get back. I had no idea until a couple weeks later when I went back into the store for more shopping, and he very apologetically approached me and got his manager, and returned the $10 that I had no idea was even missing to start with. That was a good deal, however when we were checking out the one of the other workers dined our discount. I showed her the sine over the show, however she states that it was rong and will not Horner it. Fals advertising is a crime, but she didn't care. Very rude service. Will not go again.
