RibCrib BBQ — Restaurant in Muskogee

EDIT UPDATE: RC responded to my review and I have to give their customer response 5 stars. I would not have bothered to edit my review if it were not for the fact that they not only made the effort to make up for my experience but they actually changed their online menu to accommodate my complaint about their adding extra items to their old package that were not desired to increase the price. This is the reason I have increase my overall rating to 4 stars. I would also like to note again that RC ribs quality has been consistent and good over the many years I have been going to RC. It is not typical to have an a company respond this quickly to complaints. Hats off to RC for actually responding and reacting to a customer.

ORGINAL REVIEW: They have changed there take out menu and maybe there in store menu so you have to get chips/salsa and a drink with take out. That results in a price increase of a few $. This time my ribs were cold and I had to pay extra for thing I did not want. There was no online option to just get ribs or even ribs with two sides. You could not check out unless you included a drink and chips/salsa with there new package. The food was good, typical Rib Cribs ribs except there were very light on the rib sauce. Now they do not give you a package of sauce. Guess they expect you to ask for more sauce the next time you order. News for Rib Crib cold ribs, only light sauce, and having to get a drink and chips/salsa to get ribs will not work. There are as good as or better rib places these days with larger ribs so this is the last time I make the mistake of going to RC unless I have no other option. That would be when every other place is close...

20250228T1409 - it hasn't even been a whole year and the value and quality of this deal has dropped dramatically. I am so disappointed in what I got today. I ordered the exact same meal for the exact same price in the app and picked it up at the exact same location. I feel like I've been ripped off. See the pictures to see the difference in the amount of food from last year to this year. The photo from last year looks awesome, the photo from this year looks sad. In addition, I paid $2.49 for "Add One Hot Link (1)". At first I thought I was ripped off, but I found the ends. It turns out it's a rather small link. They slice it at an angle for whatever reason. Dumb. All it makes me think is that I was ripped off. Avoid the lunch special if you want to be happy with your food.

20240426T1300 - Saw a notification on my phone about the Lunch Special for $11.49 from a limited menu. Ordered online, drove 10 minutes to the restaurant, food was ready for pickup. Brought it to work, opened it and OMG!!! A lot of food for the price, rare in post-COVID BBQ. I ordered the Lunch Picks - Lil' Smoky Potato, Loaded/Regular: 'Crib Cobb Side Salad, Blue Cheese. Picture attached. Other options are half a sandwich with chips, 4 wings, 2 ribs, and another meat variation on the sandwich, salad, and baked potato. Great value and delicious food. Just got back from being taken out by one of our vendors. I ordered the smokestack bbq sandwich which is supposed to be loaded with the meat of your choice. I ordered chopped brisket. First of all, there was a lot more bun than meat and I didn't want to complain in front of the man who just took us out to eat but every bite, (which I stopped at 3) was filled with blubber. I don't want to say fat because fat is like separate from the meat. But it was gooey blubber. I brought it home and pulled it out of the bun and the meat HUNG together by the blubber. There's no way that the cook could not see this so I'm pretty well done with eating at this RibCrib in Muskogee. At this hour/shift anyway. Lunch shift. I just can't see a cook who cares, serving customers that meat. I'm just a little grossed out. I gave it 3 chances that the sandwhich would not have blubber in it..,actually figured it COULD NOT....yuck!
