Iâm genuinely heartbroken to write this because Watsonâs has been one of my favorite local places for years. My family has supported them in every way â we buy our meat there regularly, eat lunch there often, and even enjoy dinners at their Chophouse, where my nephew proudly works as a chef.
We made reservations for a party of 20 on October 17th, 2025, at 6:30 PM to celebrate my parentsâ 50th wedding anniversary. I personally went in the week before to confirm and add a few guests, so there was no question they knew we were coming.
When we arrived, we were told they were out of baked potatoes and baked beans. Then, halfway through our orders, they also ran out of ribs and mac nâ cheese. How does that happen when a large, confirmed party is expected? It showed a complete lack of preparation and planning.
To make matters worse, my dad â the guest of honor â was told after paying and sitting down that they were out of ribs. He switched his order to brisket, which costs less, but no one refunded him the difference. That added insult to injury on a night that was supposed to be special for him and our family.
I called Gracie, the owner, that evening and left my information requesting a callback to discuss what happened. Itâs now been several days, and Iâve received no response whatsoever.
I donât take this lightly. Watsonâs has always been a place weâve proudly supported and recommended, but this experience â and the complete lack of follow-up â was extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope management sees this and takes immediate steps to make it right and prevent this kind of experience from happening to other...

Could barely pull the meat off the bone with my hands or a fork. Rib meat should come away from the bone when you bite. Way too tough.
Pulled pork was not shredded, just pulled off in big chunks, and there were big globs of fat and connective tissue in there that no one wants to eat. Meat was also not very tender.
I have had Watson's before, and maybe they just had a bad day. That being said, I wasted over $35.00 on meat that was nearly inedible.
Sides were great. Some of the best mac-and-cheese I have ever had, but the portions are pretty small, about 3-tbsp worth for $3.00. Sausage was really good, too, but whoever cut it did not sut it all the way through.
Just a really disappointing...

The other rude lady that was mopping said "No we shut everything down already" it wasn't what she said, it was the tone, as I returned the goodies to shelf, one of em said we're opened tomorrow, I did even acknowledge what was said, I definitely won't be back, y'all want people to shop local but want to be RUDE...
