Full Throttle Speedway — Attraction in Nags Head

This is by far the coolest most fun go kart race track/speedway in the entire OBX, NC AREA!! We had so much fun going here that we have seriously be talking about coming back here every time we bring up coming back to NC for beach vacation! This place was a freaking total blast the the employees here were actually social and humorous!! This was super cool because every go kart track within the area in which we’ve tried besides this one so far the employees honestly would just get you buckled in, go over the rules like they’re supposed to, & get you back off of your go kart at the end of the race and not even really wanna speak to you any time between, during or even after the races. They just never seem to really care to give their customers the time of day to as much as cut up or even converse with them. THIS PLACE ON THE OTHER HAND, is just awesome all-around & by far the funnest most best go kart track in North Carolina (in my opinion). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! GO TRY IT OUT, foreal! I have taken the family there for several years. This year, as always overpriced, arrogant help, and only a few trips around the track. This year I was spun out by a grown man and then his son plowed into me as I sat sideways. The assistants did nothing but ended the ride for everyone. I had my two teenage daughters with me. The younger man tried to start a fight with me as we were leaving. I am 59 and he was in his low 20's....the staff did nothing to defuse the situation which was clearly a planned altercation by the rednecks. I will never go back. I understand they will not miss my business but this review is meant to tell everyone of the poor attitude of the track management. As long as they get their money and a few trips around the track they don't care about you. PS: I am a black belt in mixed martial arts and would have ripped the young mans arms off but I didn't want any trouble but I was ready.....piss poor help and...

Loved taking our kids here for go carts. Reasonably priced and two different tracks to race on. Little kids (height checks at check in) can either ride doubled with parent or older sibling or ride their own junior cars if tall enough. If your child is on the shorter side though make sure and ask for the pad to be placed behind them so they can reach the pedals the whole way. Our boy couldn't get it quite pushed far enough so he could go but not very fast and got stuck on the hill a bit. Said he was pushing with end of his toe. Staff were nice and helpful but follow the rules. No bumping is allowed and its nice to keep it clean for a beach trip. If your out to cut off, push and race for pink slips...this may not be the right fit for your group. If you want some good family fun...this...
