We arrived around 9am on a Sunday. It was a little busy when we arrived, but the turn over was very fast. There are tables and chairs for inside seating with chairs to sit on while waiting. There is also outdoor seating, with games like cornhole in the back. If dining in, you order at the counter, and then they will come to you with your order once prepared, so you do not have to wait to be seated or stand for your food. Bathroom available and nice and clean.
Service: The servers were top notch when it came to service. Not a table was dirty, and as soon as someone was done, the tables were cleaned. Each server was very friendly, and helpful. Drinks and food were prepared and out to us quickly, even with how busy it was. We waited for our food between 5-10 minutes, and 10 minutes is pushing it.
Food/beverages: our group ordered Basic Beach burrito, Althea Bowl, Egg and Cheese Sammy (sandwich), a Coyo bowl, and then individual sides. The drinks we ordered were a cold brew and Matcha latte. Each person in our group said their food was hot and delicious. I had the Althea bowl, which is gluten free and vegetarian. I would also say it was delicious. The cold brew was nice and strong, and the matcha latte was nice and not super sweet.
Atmosphere was coffee shop beach themed. It was small like a coffee shop, but still spacious. At one point, it got a little busier so the noise level was moderate. But in general, it was pretty quiet and nice. Babies and children were there, which it was kid friendly.
All in all, great place to go. Definitely...
Read moreWe visited on a Thursday morning. There's no doubt this place is effortlessly cool and the staff seem kind. I saw the reviews and was really excited about going. I got the iced matcha latte and it was just... bad. The milk was white, when it should've been bright green. Also, they don't let you know on the menu that you need to request sweetener if you want it? So I kind of ended up with an iced milk.. I immediately took it in and asked for more matcha, but anyone who knows how to make a matcha latte knows that simply adding more matcha won't work once you've iced it. I was trying to be kind and give them a chance. They said they added more, but if they did, it could have only been one more half scoop; the milk was still white. It was not good at all and I really wanted to ask the kitchen folks what they thought a matcha latte was supposed to be. If you really love matcha lattes, you might not want to order one here.
I got the Althea quinoa bowl. It didn't have a whole lot of seasoning, but the egg was good and it had fresh veggies, so it was just fine.
They forgot my dad's Bloody Mary. When he asked for it, they brought him one, but it was too peppery, and the celery was not fresh-looking.
Again, I feel bad because the reviews here are so glowing, and I'm usually really easy to please. But I would not...
Read moreI was really excited for a new breakfast and coffee place to open. Unfortunately the food was bland, over cooked and my matcha sucked, the matcha seemed like it was just milk, not even green and literally tasted just like milk. My friend’s coffee was also bitter and burnt tasting and they forgot her sweetener after asking again. The guy with the longer brown hair, facial hair and tattoos seemed like he had a bad attitude and was seemingly annoyed with our questions, at least that’s how we felt. Wasn’t very welcoming. I also openly saw and heard him and his wife?(seemed like they were married) or coworker complaining and making fun of customers after they left. I’m sure they didn’t think anyone was listening to them but I was paying attention. For that, service is absolutely a one star. The place looks nice and clean inside but I won’t be back because if you make subpar food and drink and then complain and make fun of your customers, why would I support your business. I wish I had a better experience but as a local, I will not be back and will never...
