Village Pizza of Nags Head — Restaurant in Nags Head

My family goes to the Outer Banks every year and we always get pizza from here at least once. The pizza, wings, and garlic knots are always amazing, but this year they truly went above and beyond. We ordered for delivery (Door Dash) and our delivery driver left before our order was completely finished despite being told it was not all ready. I got a call before the delivery driver even arrived informing me of what happened and was told they want to make it right. I told them someone would come down to get what wasn’t delivered, but they said they wanted to make it right. We asked for an extra order of wings and they were okay with that and very apologetic. When we arrived, the owner (I assume but am not sure) came out, apologized again , shook my hand, and said again how he wanted to make things right. After I took the remaining food and got back to our house I noticed they gave us two extra orders of wings instead of one. This business truly cares about their customers and wants to do what is right. Most people would not have called to explain what happened and have been so insistent on making things right. Wow! We hit this place on our way out of OBX with our kiddos (absolutely exhausted of course). We went shortly before closing and the staff was still super friendly and eager to serve us! The pizzas were phenomenal! I mean… top notch. We really don’t leave reviews often but I felt inclined to do so here because the pizza was really that good. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and Buffalo chicken pizza. It was by far the best Buffalo chicken pizza my husband and I have ever had. We have tried a lot of buff chicken pizza at places and this was our favorite by a lot. Think boneless Buffalo wings loaded on a crisp pizza crust. Yum!!! It was so good. We imagine their wings have to be delicious. We make our own wing sauce at home but this Buffalo wing sauce was very good and the perfect amount of spice. We also ordered the basket of fries with cheese and bacon. We had to heat them up in the air fryer by the time we walked our 2 miles back to the Airbnb 😂 but once thrown in the air fryer, also delicious! Kindness is not lost on this gentleman’s store. There was a communication mix up over the phone about our order when we went to pick it up. The order wasn’t done when we arrived because the ticket was lost. Ok. Not big deal. The owner came out to explain and told us he would get it done. No worries, it gave me a chance to run to pick up something from The grocery store. Came back, order was done and out we came with an extra pizza. The owner was so sweet and apologetic ( even though he didn’t have to be because mistakes happen, no big deal) that I felt I had to acknowledge his kindness somehow. I’m sorry that I didn’t have more cash on me to leave a more generous tip, but I gave what I had. So, thank you sir.
