Melvin's Studio — Attraction in Nags Head

I met James when he was a starving young artist selling his art in the Mall some 30+ years ago. I would go back every summer and by a piece of artwork from him. I now have 16 prints of his work. I've run out of walls! His work truly makes me happy. When I can't get to the beach, his artwork brings the beach to me!

James also created a beautiful pastel portrait as a surprise birthday gift for my husband. It was a portrait of our "little girls". These "little girls" were our two Golden Retrievers Sadie and Sophie. These "little girls" gave us unconditional love for 13 years each. It was the first time in our marriage that my husband was completely speechless. Thank you, James for helping me give my husband a gift he will never forget.
