Beautiful, peaceful, and well-organized beach park! Visiting Clam Pass Beach Park is a wonderful experience. After paying for parking, you enter the park and can take a free shuttle ride through a scenic path surrounded by beautiful nature. The shuttle drivers are very friendly, making the ride even more enjoyable. At the end of the ride, you arrive at a stunning beachside restaurant with clean restrooms and a breathtaking view of the paradise-like beach. The sand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear and refreshing. You can rent umbrellas and beach chairs, or bring your own. There are showers to rinse off the salt and sand, and the bathrooms are clean and in excellent condition. You can also walk the scenic boardwalk if you prefer, but I highly recommend taking the free shuttle for the full experience. The beach has a calm, family-friendly atmosphere. Alcohol and pets are not allowed, which helps keep the environment peaceful and safe for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone...
Read moreThe beach is beautiful and I highly recommend walking the boardwalk and not taking a trolley. It is a beautiful walk with informational signs along the way. I didn't care for the restaurant at the end and the chairs are expensive! There is red tide right now, which usually is fine and obviously not the parks fault BUT I asked the guy at the kiosk if there was red tide here and he was very adamant that there was not and was not hesitant to say there was absolutely no red tide. And there was absolutely red tide, and a lot of it! Dead fish everywhere and so many of the beachgoers were coughing, I could smell it in the air. If you had a respiratory problem this could be very dangerous and the guy at the kiosk should have been honest. It is a safety hazard that he was not and that it is not posted on all public beaches....
Read moreBeautiful white sand beach. After parking in the lot you can either wait for the trolley to take you through the mangroves over the inlet or take the boardwalk. The boardwalk is a lovely stroll, although it does take about 10 to 15 minutes, maybe more, if your shlepping lots of gear! The food at Rhodes beach grill is currently minimal and mostly consists of things a 5 year old would like. But I think that they are just working off a one person grill station right now, not sure why. Food aside, the beach is wonderful. The kids enjoyed the “lazy River” current into clam’s pass, but be warned, from the beach it moves in very quick, be careful not to be swept into the...
