DO NOT ORDER from Pottery Barn! It feels like a scam. Pottery Barn: We ordered a Harper Custom Fabric bed from Pottery Barn on June 4th ,2022. We ordered from the Pottery Barn in Naples FL. It is now 5 months later and we still do not have the bed. It was supposed to be delivered within 6 weeks from the time we ordered it. It was supposed to come a month before Hurricane Ian. The slats, frame, and footboard were delivered nearly 4 weeks before the storm, but not the headboard. Two weeks after the hurricane, I spoke with someone who tried to tell me it was delayed due to the hurricane. The person said they would expedite the delivery to Fort Myers FL as it was in GA. Three weeks since that conversation, another person I spoke with said it was now in Los Angeles CA. No one would return my emails or calls regarding this matter. We have spent countless hours trying to get an answer as to when we may receive our order. The NAPLES FL location staff members are VERY rude and completely blew us off when we went to inquire about it. They also ignore you until you stand over them waiting. Again, Pottery Barn tried to blame it on Hurricane Ian. This was very distasteful to us and very bad customer service. After writing to the CEO of William-Sonoma, we received an email from a representative. This person told us since the warehouse/distribution were non-responsive, we should just pick out a different bed they have in stock. After telling them to replace what we ordered and we would wait for that to be delivered, they refunded our money without a word to be said. I was thrilled about it!Ā Fast forward a couple years and the pieces started to look tarnished but in all honesty, I never thought anything of it until recently my mom saw it. Upon further inspection we realized it was not tarnished at all but the metal had actually worn off ā not safe! I live by myself and have never had a dish washer so these pieces have always been washed by hand and well taken care of.Ā My mom collected the pieces to contact Pottery Barn and make them aware. She put in 4 calls to PB Customer Service with promises of a call back that was never received. She finally took the set to the store to show them the unfortunate shape they were in.Ā She was instructed to try polishing the silverware, which I had previously tried but did not have success because theyāre not tarnished - theyāre completely bare of their silver.Ā We proceeded to explain this to the associate but she continued to say sheād never seen this before and they just needed to be polished. Mind you, weāre avid Pottery Barn shoppers so much of our homes including furniture is Pottery Barn, so itās disappointing there was no further effort made to solve the problem. Rude staff always so it has nothing to do with being understaffed due to Covid, this has been a long standing issue. I order furniture online all the time but I would avoid this store. They arenāt kind when you walk in and they rarely ask if you need help. I tried to return something I had ordered online to the store because I thought Iād shop for a replacement item and was treated as if I had purchased an item from Walmart and tried to bring it back there, even though it was purchased within a few weeks and I had all my online receipts and same box it was delivered. Then the man told me I should have returned it through the mail and huffed about the return process and never asked if he could help me with anything else. If he had bothered to look at my account he would have noticed the couches, bedroom furniture, office furniture, light fixtures, air hockey tables etc. Iāve purchased and thatās just in the last 3 years.
