Aura Restaurant — Restaurant in Naples

We decided to stay and eat, on property, the night before a long fishing day. This is located right in the lobby and was dead at 7:30 pm on a Friday night. We were 1 of 4 tables. The server, Isabella, was very friendly and attentive. We started with the calamari. It was delicious and the oil used was clean. My son devoured most of it, but I was able to confirm it was great before it was all gone. We also had the burrata and watermelon salad. This could have been a meal. It was huge and fresh. We all liked this. For dinner we got the tuna tartare stack. It was almost very good but was very avocado heavy. I wish it had more tuna to avocado ratio. Again, a great portion. The less impressive part was the grouper. It was very overcooked. The flavors of the dish were all there but the portion and overall presentation of the dish didn’t align with the price tag- by any stretch. I would have preferred a separate space to dine, with the lobby more secluded where the ambiance could be more unique from the rest of the hotel. I would return and get more small plates, salads...

Bartender super nice, good service and conversation- but white bald guy supposed “manager” on his computer who got up just to accost us and told us to to go outside because we took a phone call at the bar - super rude. First and only interaction with him and he showed zero hospitality and then he immediately went back to his computer. Bad impression, bad look for the hotel and bar. Needs some hospitality and leadership training asap. Bartender seemed embarrassed while he closed our tab. Never experienced anything like that at any hotel/resort bar...

The food here is out of this world amazing! The flavor combinations and plates are remarkable. This chef here has taken the time to perfect every plate. You won't find anything that isn't over the top amazing. Even a simple turkey burger is ...just wow! Highly recommend, especially crab cakes, arancini, calamari, the watermelon salad, the flatbreadss dinners...all 1000% amazing !!
