I received a coupon through my email for $10 off any service if I booked that day, which I did. The day of my appt, I was called to be informed that my massage therapist was sick and I couldn't be seen that day. No problem. I was asked if i'd like to reschedule which I did making sure they $10 discount would still be honored since this was no fault to me. I was told yes. Now mine you, I should've taken their name down to refer back to but, hind sight is 20/20. I did take a screenshot of my coupon! After my rescheduled services, I mentioned the discount and was given pushback even though I showed the picture. The only reason they wouldn't want to take it was because they couldn't tell if it was sent to my email. LUCKILY, I never delated said email with the discount they sent me so I was able to provide it and get my discount. Nowhere on their website does it state to take these sort of steps to ensure your discount and/or coupon is applied. I just happened to get lucky because of the steps I took. I believe when sending out these "discounts and coupons" this company should provide a discount CODE that could be provided either when booking online or at the time of service instead of the costumer hoping they saved the email with the discount included to ensure transparency with these "incentives". Even making a note of the costumer's account for their appt would help so perhaps when they confirm the appt, they would receive a txt asking for a screen shot of the email including the discount to confirm it. I'm not sure what the best solution is but, something needs to be done to improve this process instead of the costumer going above of what is expect to insure their discount is applied only to be subjected to an embarrassing situation at the front desk negating a relaxing experience only seconds ago... Yes, it was only 10 dollars but, it's the principle that counts and also, as a customer that has been coming to their store for years and years as well as other family and friends, throughout their change in location and management, the unprofessionalism put me off and even though I never had a standing appt, I believe in supporting local stores and being loyal, however, I may, after this experience be looking into a different establishment and informing my friends and family as well. I hope in the future to return once these "kinks" are smoothed out but, for now, i'll be looking for a new spot in hopes that I can use my voice on other review avenues on this issue for this store and save someone else from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give one piece of advice, it would be to book an appointment with Francine at Donelson Massage. She offers an experience that goes far beyond a traditional massage. From the moment you step in, Francine takes the time to truly listen and care about your needs. She creates an environment where you feel completely comfortable and understood, all while focusing on addressing the root causes of your discomfort, not just the symptoms.
The massage itself is nothing short of extraordinary. With her extensive knowledge of various techniques, Francine tailors each session to your specific needs, making each visit feel personalized and transformative. She has also provided me with invaluable advice on preventative measures to reduce pain before it even begins.
What truly sets Francine apart is her remarkable presence. She is a true healerānot just in technique, but in energy. Her soothing demeanor is uplifting, and her genuine care is both inspiring and comforting. She has worked wonders for me with a number of issues, including major shoulder pain from an old bicycle injury (pain is completely gone) and chronic migraines. Just recently, after struggling with a severe headache that resisted all forms of treatment, I saw Francine for help. Within minutes, I felt immediate relief, and it has lastedā48 hours later, Iām still pain-free and feeling amazing.
Donelson Massage itself is great. The front area and treatment rooms are warm and inviting, the staff is always friendly and efficient, and most importantly, Francine is there, ready to help. I cannot recommend her highly enoughāshe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am amending my review on account that the manager and owner personally called me and corrected the situation and gave me a gift certificate to make up for all the trouble. Pope said it best "To err is human; to forgive, divine." Thank you DMC for making forgiveness a pleasure to extend.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Donaldson massage until now. Two weeks ago someone at DMC took it upon themselves to bump my massage back to a later time that night without notifying me. I understand people make mistakes so I didn't make a big deal about it. I scheduled another massage for 2 weeks after that but realized the day before I could not make it. So, per company policy, I called with more than 24 hours notice and asked them to cancel it. The receptionist politely told me it was canceled and thanked me for calling ahead of time. I received a call the following day asking me why I didn't show up for my massage. I let them know that I had canceled it the day before. They assured me the manager would see to it that I wasn't charged. The next day I received an email notifying me that because I was a "no-show", I had been charged the full amount for the massage. I have been calling for 2 days now seeking a manager to correct this error and left messages. No one has gotten back with me. I consider this poor customer service and very unprofessional. I'm currently looking for another massage center. No point being a member somewhere that doesn't take care of their...
