Harbor Freight — Attraction in Nashville-Davidson

I have shopped at multiple Harbor Freight locations around the Nashville TN area. Always had a good experience until last night. We went to the Lebanon Pike store last night to purchase a tool cart. We carried the card with the bar code to the register, manned by the store manager, to purchase our cart. He looked at us and asked "what did we want him to do with that"? We told him we wanted to make a purchase. He said you would have to come back tomorrow (we live 1 hour away). He said that they keep these stored in a Pod out behind the store and they don't go out there after 5:00 PM. He said they only had 3 people working after 5:00 pm. He was so condescending in how he spoke to us we walked out of the store and will never come back. We had called earlier in the day to verify that they had 1 of these tool carts in inventory and was told they did. NOBODY on the call told us about their 5:00 pm rule. Basically, the posted store closing time is 8:00 pm but its basically 5:00 PM if you want to purchase something other than a screwdriver. For reference, we were buying 6 of these tool carts from Harbor Freight for our church. We were going to multiple locations due to lack of inventory in our local Columbia, TN store. The experience in Lawrenceburg TN and Ashland City TN store was fantastic. This is essentially a collection of Chinese made tools and some household items. Some are a really good deal for a 2nd quality. Much of it reminds me of buying the cheaper warranty car battery. It'll likely work for a while but die on you/be more of a hassle than if u bought the better brand. So just check the reviews for EVERY important product and know some are junk like tin snips shear-jaws don't meet/can't cut ANYTHING. Some things are really great deals especially if u use the online coupon app for 20%off & free items like LED lights. Inventory and freebie deals are reduced from Trump's tarrifs and Covid so might not be as screaming deals. The hand wrenches are generally good/work fine, compressors okay for home owner. So be aware of reviews like appliance handtruck wheels break easy means it breaks on moving day strapped to your fridge/dryer...that's a huge $ cost for the moving van rental/people sitting on their hands+emergency purchase a real one/try to rent one from U-haul...

This location is one of the oldest in Nashville to my knowledge and the staff that works here is always helpful very suggestive and doesn't push a on 1 it's sale on you if it's not exactly what you need or what you're looking for. And if it just so happens that they don't have what you're looking for or can't find it at that store they will look it up and they will tell you where to go that would tell you how much it is they will give you any information that you need to make sure that you do leave there satisfied even though you were not able to purchase the original item that you were looking for. I've never left this store unhappy on satisfied or anything and I would highly recommend that you visit this one even if you need to go just a little bit out of the way to come here it will be worth your while in the long run you will not be disappointed they have the larger inventory than most of the surrounding stores so there's a good chance you'll find...
