This center has some potential now that they built a new hotel directly across from the center and repaired the adjacent street. Sadly, at this time, I can't imagine why anyone would want a convention in this town. The city leaders simply have not cultivated the synergy to make it work. At least, I am unaware of any general interest activities that might spark some vitality into this town for this center. The hotel could offer a city cafe, a club, or a niche dining spot.The hotel will likely change ownership a few times, fall into disrepair, and be converted into low income housing. City leaders need a vision and a plan to vitalize this town, to help this convention center. Police need to keep a lower profile, and learn to serve and protect, and to be honest. I don't remember her name, but the young woman working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. I walked away with multiple brochures, maps, magazines, and newspapers; which I went through that night. The map of the area attractions was very helpful.
