The day before my wedding, as friends and family were getting into town, I went to check into Chateau St. Denis. Once I arrived there they informed me that they had "lost" my reservation and had no rooms available due to guests from my wedding and another event happening in town that weekend. With so many people coming into town that weekend almost every hotel was completely booked. When I called Church Street Inn, panicking trying to find a room, not only were they kind and empathetic for my situation (apparently this was not the first time people have had that problem with Chateau St. Denis) they actually had a room available with two queen size beds!! Just perfect for me and my bridesmaids!! When we were checking in the gentleman working the front desk was as friendly as could be and again apologized that I was having to deal with that kind of stress the day before my wedding (because let's face it, weddings are already stressful enough). When we got to our room we found a sweet note and a complimentary bottle of wine. Shortly after we checked in happy hour in the lobby started with free wine there as well. We all slept comfortably that night and then that morning headed off to begin getting ready for the wedding. That afternoon after the room had been cleaned I received a phone call from the hotel letting me know that some personal items had been left in the room and telling me congratulations on my wedding that would be later that evening. Long story short, the staff at this hotel went above and beyond for me trying to relieve my stress on my wedding weekend. I would recommend this place to any/everyone! Thank you so much...
Read moreOverall, we really liked this Inn. It was a great place to stay, especially for the price. I'm pretty picky when it comes to a hotel and hotel room and I can honestly say it was the best hotel bed ever!!! Our room was very clean, neat, and comfortable. Breakfast was great. We had breakfast around 8:45am and it was still hot and delicious. Coffee was also good and hot. There is free Wi-Fi in the room and plenty of free, secure, gated parking. The only reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are: When we arrived, nobody was at the front desk. There was a sign that said they stepped away...for immediate assistance, call a certain number. That number just rang through to the desk. After 30 min. and 4 calls, thinking SOMEONE in the building should pick up an extension, we finally reached someone who came to check us in. While the Inn has a newer look, the room felt a bit dated. We felt the room decor could be spruced up a bit. However, the bathroom was large, closet was large (with robes), and there is a closet in the room which contains a small fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. It really did feel like we were guests in the upstairs guestroom at Grandma's house. I would definitely recommend...
Read moreMy wife and I first experience of Natchitoches was so pleasant. We stayed at the beautiful Church Street Inn, which is walking distance to everything that need. As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly smile, which not only checked us in but also gave us all the info we needed for the facility. There were no hidden fees when it came to the mini bar in the room or the coffee cups that I so wanted to take, and the price was worth bringing home. Our room was very clean, and the bed had actual foot and headboards, which gave more of a bedroom feel and less of a hotel feel. The bathroom was also clean with the tile floor and all amenities you will need when you forget yours at home. They offer gated parking for an extra fee, worth every penny when you don't have to worry about parking in Natchitoches. They had happy hour with complimentary wine and a continental breakfast that was comparable to others. The second floor has a common terrace overlooking Church Street with chairs and tables to enjoy night caps or just people watching. The first floor gated and fenced off the court yard was beautifully set up to enjoy conversation and the smells from surrounding...
