If you want custom framing, come here. For Christmas, I wanted to get a college degree framed and the first thing I noticed when talking to Terry was his attention to detail. I explained to him what I was looking for, showed a picture of the room I was looking to place the degree in and he immediately went to work.

When I tell you I could see the wheels turning in his mind, I knew he had a vision he wanted to share with me and went through frame after frame to get it just right. As he went through the different frames and backdrops for the degree, he passed by 20 shades of colors before finding the perfect one to show me.

He was patient, listened to what I was looking for, and his customer service was outstanding. When picking up, Terry made sure he tried his best to get it to me before Christmas despite my last minute appearance. As I was working on Christmas Eve, I was unable to get to Terry before he closed for the day. But he called around the area to some small business owners he knew, and asked them to hold onto it for me to make sure I was able to get it. Thanks to Terry and the owners at Pathway Market, I was able to make sure I could gift the frames degree in time for Christmas. Not only that, but Terry knew it was a last minute thing for me, and made sure to wrap it quickly with some paper to keep it a surprise to sneak into the house undetected.

I moved to Ocean Grove in July 2025. During the move, the frame on a prized watercolor was damaged. Wanting to support local businesses, I took it to Terry at Tumblety Howell Art Gallery and Custom Framing. He was helpful in selecting a mat and frame. I paid him $500, and he said that it would be ready in two weeks. I stopped by after three weeks, then four weeks, then five weeks, and after over six weeks, I demanded to see my watercolor and demanded a specific completion date. He said that it would be completed that day. I went to pick it up, and instead of a white and off-white double mat, it had a black and off-white double mat. I am delighted with the mounting and framing of an old Springsteen poster. Terry was excellent and knew exactly how to give me a beautiful and understated finished product. DO NOT waste your time at a Michael's store. In just a few days I had my poster back after waiting nearly 7 weeks with no progress at Michael's and for about the same price. It would be almost impossible to find a better quality job or better service.i wish I could give...
