In a group of seven we had six different entrees and three appetizers. Everything tasted mediocre to okay but nothing that I would describe as good or exceptional. The real low point was the complimentary bread. It was covered with so much garlic some at our table found it unpalatable. Another issue was the bar service. The servers seem to be making their own drinks in place of a bartender. I ordered a martini up with blue cheese olives And my partner ordered a cosmopolitan. No alcohol could be detected in her cosmopolitan And my martini came on the rocks with pimento olives. Getting a drink order wrong is understandable but when I tried to explain to my server what was wrong he didn't seem to understand the words I was saying. I understanding in the current economy it can be difficult to find enough waiters, but the restaurant was almost empty and waiter seemed up be untrained rather than overwhelmed. Many of these things can be forgiven at lower cost mom and pop type restaurants. This was not a lowercross restaurant. For my party of two We had one cocktail each and appetizer we split an entree a piece and one dessert that we split. This was $100, and while $100 is not an outrageously expensive meal where I would expect the top of the line food, for what I received it was a disappointment. I'm sure some of these issues could have been overcome had a manager bothered to speak to our table at any point during the meal. As I said before the restaurant was virtually empty and no sign of a manager was seen. In closing nothing was so bad for me to discourage people from trying Bella Roma, but I certainly can't...
Read moreNever again. Food was very pricey at over $20 for a plate of pasta. Pasta was overcooked and 2 stirs turned it to mush. Very bland and the carbonara was so saucy it was like eating a soup with mushy noodles and the sauce wouldn’t even stick to the damn noodles very well. The baked ziti Bolognese was so sad it was the same as the carbonara except the cheese on top seemed to have been microwaved instead of baked. $55 with a tip for 2 pastas. Mind you we ordered to go and when we left we immediately found a quiet parking lot to eat in due to our little one not quite being restaurant savvy. Upon opening the bad there were no utensils or napkins. Luckily we just went to the store and bought some that were still in my trunk. The next surprise came as I lifted the carbonara out of the bag and sauce started leaking out the side that’s how watery it was. My wife and I were so hungry but could only stomach a few bites and had to throw it out. Even my 2 year old daughter who loves pasta didn’t like it and wanted a banana instead. I was needless to say pretty furious. Tried to call the restaurant 2 times and was directed to a voicemail that was full. If you’re in the area looking for good Italian food, do yourself and your wallet a favor and pass on this place. I wish I would have read the reviews before going. I can unequivocally say that by reading negative reviews for the pst couple years and even past few months, the restaurant says they promise the next time will be better…..yet it’s the same thing over and over. They are not trying to improve nor do they care to. They are just trying to keep...
Read moreAbsolutely worst service ever! We went for Valentines Day and there was a limited menu, which we were fine with even though we had already looked ahead at the regular menu. We waited 20min or more before anyone even acknowledged that we hadnt been helped yet. I ordered Chicken Fressce (not sure of spelling) and my boyfriend ordered Lobster Ravioli. They brought our plated out and there were literally 5, yes 5 very small Ravioli on my boyfriends plate for $30. The food was awful! My chicken tasted like it was freezer burnt and the breading was soggy. My boyfriends was ok but still not very good and everything was barely warm. We called the waiter over and told him and asked if we could just leave. He said he would get the owner. The owner came out and was extremely rude to us!!! He yelled at us in front of the whole restaurant and caused a scene. It was completely embarrassing. My boyfriend remained calm and spoke to him respectfully and he still made a scene trying to tell us that we still had to pay for out food that we didn't even eat! He then made the comment "if you can't afford my food then just say so". That was the last straw, as we walked out he told us to never come back. No worries sir, we will NEVER step foot in your restaurant again after the scene you made! 10/10 do not recommend based solely on the absolute poor attitude of the owner and the way he treats...
