My family & I have lived in the area for 3 or 4 years. We've been to the local farmer's market only a few times. Not to be comparing this market to others, which is exactly what I am going to do, I hope someone reads this and makes changes or implements something. Okay so a market where I am from is bustling with, bakers, butchers, baristas, florist, TONS OF PRODUCE, chocolate makers, horseradish grinders, fish mongers, tea mongers, candy makers & maybe one candlestick maker. New Bern's Farmers Market is full of knitters, writers, candlestick makers, crafts, crafts, crafts! The people who are selling local produce are outrageously overpriced, I saw a quart of strawberries for $11.00! Thank God we have our own garden that produce strawberries. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful that New Bern's has a market it's more like a nice flea market.
