Let me start by saying how disappointed I am with this jeweler and store. I have had a lot of pieces designed over the years with master jewelers in many states weâve lived and others here in Texas. I decided to give William at San Anthonyâs a try, after he worked so hard on trying to locate a movement for a vintage watch. I have never had such a poor experience in my life! In early April, I picked 2 different feminine ring designs for my daughter and myself (from a book in the store) for a set of carved Cabochon antique jade cuff links that were my fatherâs and grandfatherâs before him. Also using my gold and diamonds. I wanted similar not the same and each a little unique to match our personalities. And the whole process a nightmare! I was originally told it would be about a month, after a month, nothing done. I needed them for going to see my military daughter and they werenât ready. Then a month later was told well they made the castings but they werenât right as the bands were too thin and needed to be redone. Come back in a week. Went back and told that jeweler wasnât in and didnât know the status. Found my envelope but some pieces were missing including the antique cuff links. I asked where they were and no one knew, I said just give me everything back and Iâll go elsewhere. Since they couldnât find the jade cuff links, was asked if I could give them a chance to find them to make them. I agreed if they couldnât be ready by x date as we were traveling to see my daughter at a base in north Texas and wild like to bring them to her. Showed up 2 days before our trip, (early August) was told they were sent to a different jewelry store in San Antonio to do the work and they lost them, and couldnât find them. I told them this is unacceptable, they need to find them and when I left the store, I cried. I was so upset about the whole encounter I didnât sleep⌠I went back after our trip and was told they were located and would be done in a couple days. Showed up in a few days and they werenât ready. I heard so many different stories depending on who I spoke with. And 3 excuses in the 5 months for funerals, quite a few for out sick, not working today, And if I mentioned what I was told at a last visit they would change the current story to meet that story too. Anyway, second trip to see our daughter and still no ring to give her. Explained she would be here on x date for a long weekend visit while she is in the states at the school and they have to be done. Got a call they were ready. Went to pickup and they were not ready yet. Had to wait a bit. Finally, Abby brought them out and the rings were the exact same ⌠a chunky, heavy design and not the split shank or feminine designs I picked. Driving home my daughter looked at me and said, âTo be honest mom, itâs too heavy and the jade stone is loose in the setting, the setting is rough / pokey and I wonât wear it as is. So please take it to your regular master jeweler and have him fix this mess!â I handed her my ring and she looked at it and said, yes your jade is shaking back and forth, and actually looser than mine plus there are a few rough sharp spots too. So 2 chunky heavy rings on a design style I didnât approve, donât like and nothing feminine about them like I originally picked⌠with crappy workmanship that was done quickly to get me out of their hair and basically needs to be redone / fixed by my favorite designer / master jeweler in New Braunfels (Kent at...
Read moreI had an excellent experience renting my suit on the week of Sept 20th. I was late in getting fitted for one do to scheduling and really didn't know of a place to go. A friend of mine had suggested San Anthony Jewelry and Formal. So I stopped by there on Monday afternoon and informed them that it was for the parade here in town the coming Friday morning the 24th. Looked at some options since they asked what the occasion was for and they helped me with everything that I was looking for. Everyone there were very nice and welcoming as soon as I walked in. I even got my battery for watch replaced as I was waiting, which didn't take long at all. Abby was very helpful as well since I informed her that I would be needing it again towards the end of Oct for the Dia de los Muertos Festival. She said that since they already have my measurements prior, that they will have the suit ready for me to try on again a few days before that event. I know I can expect the same exact experience as I did the first time around when I go back to pick my suit up again. I will definitely do business with them again in the future and gladly refer them to anyone. Nice to walk into a local business to be greeted and helped in such a professional manner. GREAT BUSINESS!!! FRIENDLY STAFF!!! = HAPPY...
