If you are heading to the city park anyway I would recommend that you take the time to walk on the sides and visit both anesman and macdonogh Oaks. I just wish they put some plaques to highlight their significance. These oak trees are between 600 to 800 years old. This year New Orleans is celebrating their 300 year old anniversary.
