Parkview Tavern — Restaurant in New Orleans

We decided to visit this place after seeing a YouTube video that got us curious about their roast beef po’boy. The video from Parkway Tavern really sold me on it. We ordered takeout, and while the service was excellent, the roast beef itself was a letdown. As a New Orleans native, I was disappointed by the lack of seasoning—it was completely unseasoned. My friends and I walked a long way from the french quarter to have some poboys here and we were expecting out of this world poboys. They were just ok. They serve straight poboys with no unique ingredients. If you want a classic poboy then you'll enjoy this place.

This place is the king of classic poboys. This is New Orleans to the core. Don't go in expecting white table clothes and a sommelier. It's a neighborhood poboy joint. That being said, it is one of, if not, THE best joint in the city. Fantastic poboys, reasonable prices, huge portions - you can tell they've been doing it right since most visitors were in diapers.
