Obstructed view of stage! Manager didn't care. Claimed it was my fault.

The Saennger Theatre in New Orleans is a beautiful venue. I bought my wife tickets to see the Nutcracker ballet there as a Christmas present. I bought relatively expensive seats in the orchestra section. There was nothing on the theatre website, or the TicketMaster website indicating that the view of the sage from these seats was obstructed. It was. For my wife, about 20% and for myself, about 40%. I suffered through the performance because I didn't want to spoil my wife's excitement.

When I spoke to the usher at intermission she shrugged and agreed that it was a shame. After the show was over I asked some of the concession people where the theatre manager was and three separate concession people stated that some of the closer seats had that problem, and directed me to the box office.

Here's where the insult was applied to the injury. Both the woman working the box office and then her manager, Jeff, told me that it was TicketMaster's problem and that I should have chosen different seats. Zero empathy, 100% blaming the customer. Both box office personnel were belligerent and angry at me for complaining. I told Jeff that the seats should never had been made available for sale and he said that it was my issue, not his. I asked if there were seats available for the second performance, Jeff said yes, and rather than trying to sell them to me he angrily told me he would not "comp" me tickets.

The seating itself was disappointing, but the very poor attitudes and customer service that we received from these two people ruined our evening, and a big part of my wife's Christmas present. It has tainted our view of New Orleans in general.

I attempted to show the box office people a few pictures but was dismissed. For context, we were the only patrons in the box office, so there was no need to rush their...

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience purchasing tickets for the "Songblazers" show from the Saenger Theatre website.I purchased tickets in May during the Mother’s Day sale for the September 18th performance, intending to surprise my family with a special night out. Unfortunately, I was recently informed via email that the show had been canceled, but I was offered the option to reschedule for September 21st.

When I called the box office to reschedule, I was shocked to learn that the seats I originally purchased were no longer available. To make matters worse, I was told that I would have to pay for an upgrade if I wanted to secure same seats for the new date. Essentially, I was forced to choose between paying more for a show that I had already budgeted for or accepting a refund and missing out on the event altogether.

This experience has left me feeling incredibly frustrated and disheartened. I purchased these tickets well in advance, trusting that the Saenger Theatre would honor the sale and my commitment. Instead, I am being penalized for a situation that was entirely out of my control. It feels like there was no good faith effort to accommodate loyal customers like myself, who chose to buy tickets early.

I understand that show cancellations happen, but the lack of fairness in handling pre-purchased tickets is unacceptable. I expected better from a venue with the Saenger Theatre's reputation, and this experience has certainly made me reconsider attending future...

It's A Beautiful Theater👍🏾 But If You Payed Good Money To See The Show . The Entertainers Shouldn't Tell The Audience To Stand ‼️ Because there's a lot of people that can't stand and they want to see the show . So people wouldn't be just stand in front of you if the entertainers wouldn't tell them to stand up. It's not fair to everyone who payed to be entertained . Some People will just stand in front of you without any disregard or respect if elderly and handicap senior citizens and can't do all that standing. It didn't matter they were told it's okay. So I want be spending my good money 💰🤑💲 To Go Again No Time Soon . Because I Wanted To Ask The People Who Just Had To Keep Standing To Please allow me to enjoy the show 😜 We didn't pay to see people standing in front of us and not even dancing but just because they were told it's okay 👎🏾 😠 The Cocktails Was Highway Robbery. I asked one bartender the price my first drink the cheapest Tequila was 11$ Sauzer plus tax Still came to the price of the top shelf Patron Tequila 13 . So when I went back the second time the other bartender said a different price even higher for the Sauzer Tequila 12 $. It was 1 dollar cheaper than the Patron Tequila 🤷🏾‍♀️. If that was the case I would have rather had The Patron Tequila the first time. These things should be posted so everyone knows what what. Thanks For Asking. Do Better Saenger...
