A parking garage that was a bit outdated, but offered the lowest parking rate in the area. Stairs only (we saw a one-person-sized elevator-like equipment, but it needed a badge to enter/operate). This garage was conveniently located within the French Quarter but close to the edge of the Quarter. It’s a nice thing as when Bourbon St. gets busy, the traffic going in and out of this garage does not get impacted much so we love this location. Overall, the garage was well lit and the turns are pretty wide. We booked our parking ahead of time on SpotHero for a weekend parking at ~$16 a day (per 24 hrs). This is much lower than the $35 daily rate they have on their official Premium Parking website. It’s a self park garage with in-and-out privileges. We had only seen one staff member once during our 2 day parking period (when we drove in and out of the garage several times). They definitely will boot your car if you don’t play by the parking rule - pay your parking! We didn’t notice any car was booted (didn’t pay too much attention to check on every car on every floor), but there was a “Boot Return” tower/column which had 3 boots on it, so that was definitely an indicator that although no staff were present most of the time, they do check regularly against your license plate to confirm you have paid the parking. The lower levels of the parking garage are reserved for Star Parking (members) (Costs more $$). After about level 3 or 4, all the spaces are first come first serve. On Saturdays the garage could get busy, but we were able to find space easily after driving up a few floors. Parking spaces are an average size, and they wrapped many pillars/walls with styrofoam and tapes to help protect people from hitting them and scratching their cars. Their spaces weren’t that tiny (we saw many large SUVs and pickup trucks parked here), so it was definitely a nice to have thing that they had added to the facility. The only other thing that should be pointed out is there isn’t an elevator at this garage (like some other review had pointed out). They only had a tiny one-person-width staircase. They do seem to have a one-person sized elevator, but it’s locked in a cage and seemed like it could only be operated when there is a staff member present. Don’t book or park at this garage if you are not able to walk your way up or down the garage. All in all, with this affordable rate and convenient location, in-and-out privileges, and ease of finding a space, we will definitely park here again and will also recommend this parking garage to anyone visiting the area!

This place advertises on SpotHero (as #0194) as wheelchair accessible but it is NOT! The ground floor is reserved for “premium/reserved” spots except for ONE ADA spot. To get to the street level in a wheelchair you’ll have to roll down the ramp full of blind spots and speeding cars. There is also an incredibly narrow staircase you can use if you are ambulatory but you’ll likely struggle with your suitcase getting down. I really would not recommend this parking lot for anyone with any sort of difficulty walking or anyone carrying luggage. This is also the same parking lot with an entrance on 211 Dauphne so be mindful of that as well.

The Premium Parking Lot 194 is not as centrally located as some. It is convenient to Deanie’s Seafood, Canal Street and the Museum of Death. People who are not used to paying for parking may think it’s expensive but these guys are typical and less than some. The City levies taxes and fees on these guys so they’re just trying to make a living. Vehicles are secure here and off the service.

If you are considering a contract with Premium, this may interest you. I am on a monthly parking contract and have been so for some time. Recently, Premium increased the rate to park. My contract was for parking in a multi level garage. I opted to stay on the same level and pay the additional. Imagine my surprise when I walked up to my car today and found a boot for parking on the “improper floor.” When I asked the parking attendants at the garage for more information, I was told that a 3rd party known as “Admiral Enforcement” is responsible for booting and that they were the only ones that could remove the boot. I had to go back up the garage to get the number for Admiral and call them to send someone out. They told me someone would be here in 20 minutes. That was 25 minutes ago. While waiting, one of the garage attendants said that another monthly parker on my floor was booted for the same reason and that this had been happening “a lot.” In fact, for the last few months, I have been seeing more booted cars in the garage than ever before. While waiting, I also called Premium for more info. According to the telephone operator, Premium sent an email notifying every monthly parker on my floor we could no longer park on that floor for the newly increased rate and that we must park on the next floor up; however, I received no such email and I have PLENTY of monthly emails acknowledging that a Premium has successfully charged my car. By the way, another monthly parker is now standing here FOR THE SAME REASON. At best, this is extremely poor customer service and communication. At worst, this is shameful, short-sighted greed. If you are considering parking in a lot owned or operated by this company, these are the type of experiences you can...

Do NOT park here!!!

I paid for a session and followed all of their instructions via email. I had correct vehicle/plate information. They put a boot on my car (I still had 4 hours to go on my reservation). I was able to show the attendant all of my valid information. He literally said "you have two options. Pay the full $122 fine or pay me $50 now".

If there had been some sort of technological glitch where I entered my info via their links and it wasn't showing up in their system so they booted my car. I would get that. Even as inconvenient as that is. Stuff happens. Things go wrong.

But when I show an actual human being the active parking session with accurate information and a date/time stamp of when I entered my vehicle info into their system and they still charge you a fine...that's just wrong. Maybe this guy did this to us because he could or maybe he doesn't have the autonomy to make those types of decisions...either...
