I bought 6 tickets to see this performance and I have to say how deeply disappointed we all were.
First of all, we had tickets for the 3 in the back row K and 3 in row J because my mother is in a wheelchair. Well, needless to say, we were quite surprised when her chair wasn't level due to the slant of the floor and her wheelchair was pitched forward and she kept sliding out. What's up with that? Certainly uncomfortable not only for her but all of us since we were concerned about her well being.
Secondly, why is it necessary to have the background music so LOUD that it drowns out every performer? That volume was uncalled and unacceptable. I also felt that way about the comedy we saw earlier, If a Man Answers. The background music/sound was actually blaring and impossible to hear what was going on and we were in row C!
Thirdly, I was stunned at how bad the RAT PACK performance was especially with all the hype. In fact we disliked it so much we left at intermission. Which, may I say, was a feat in itself especially with a wheelchair! It was impossible to get out of there.
Lastly, I don't understand such disorganization at intermission. A total disaster and a safety hazard. People were coming and going, in and out all doors, just a cluster **. If you would allow people to take drinks or beverages to their seats, maybe there wouldn't be such a mad rush to the lobby. Maybe if they got a beverage before they went in they wouldn't all be trying to get out at the same time and they'd be happy to stay seated.
I almost bought season tickets when I arrived but I'm glad I waited. I can't express enough how unhappy we all were and embarrassed I was. I treated my family to this event and it was a...
Read moreI attended the final performance of Into the Woods on February 2. The performance was magnificent. However, I found two events disconcerting. During the Intermission, two theater staff approached the stage to open an access door in front of the first row seating. These staff were accompanied by a large German Shepherd. The dog was on leash with a chain collar. Neither staff was blind and neither appeared in need of advanced canine security. The dog clearly was a pet, not a bonifide service animal. Secondly, an audience member in the first row was walking about during the Intermission holding a small dog, perhaps a Yorkie or a Papillon. Neither dog barked or became out of control. I am troubled that there is no mention on your website and no printed announcement in the lobby or Playbill that the venue is or is not pet friendly. My sister-in-law is frightened of dogs. My son-in-law is allergic to pet dander. They, as many others in the public, need to know the venue is tolerant of random canine presence. In the absence of a coherent comprehensive policy statement, we could soon see other animals, a cat, a cocatoo, or a ferret among the audience. I have 4 dogs and a cat. I don't take my furry friends out shopping with me or anywhere they may offend others, whether they're allowed to be there or not. An indoor venue, in particular, needs to make their...
Read moreI feel this place does not even deserve a star. Shows itself were always good and I am frankly very upset with the fact due to Covid and canceling of shows even though they plan on having shows come back they will not give me a refund for the 3 tickets I purchased. Told me I have a credit however I explained to the lady I am pregnant and will not be returning. She asked me if she wanted to put my tickets on a list for gifting them, like my hard earned money was nothing. She also told me in a few words that the money is used for costumes etc and I then said so you used my money and already spend it on a show I have yet to see??? Then I asked for someone higher. She explained she can pass my number to the owners but they are not here and she doesn’t know when they will return. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. we are in a pandemic and they are the only place that will not give your money back. I find it funny how she mentioned the money has already been spent. I want my money back and be over with it. Their policy is acceptable if we are jot in a pandemic where people are out of jobs. Never experienced such terrible service and...
