Sip on Grand — Restaurant in New Port Richey

Stopped in as it is a neat looking place inside and they have wines by the glass which was definitely on the menu for the other half. We sat at the 2 bar stools near the bar area. Provided menus immediately. One menu for for food and one for beverages. They have plenty of non alcoholic choices too. Very decent selection of beer on tap. Even had an IPA/Pale I have never had before which is hard to do as they have been my fav for years. He had several tasters of red wines and he went with the Federalist first. He had another red which was the bartender/staff favorite. We also ordered the Sun dried tomato in a blue cheese and garlic spread with bread on the side. Wow. That was a perfect combination. So glad we had that. There is a speakeasy in the back. Peeked in there and it is cool. Can rent it out for private events which someone had last night and they all seemed to have a really great time! We will definitely return. We have no idea why someone in our area has not done something like this. Love it! Well done. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Clean. spacious. I went out with friends to celebrate a birthday. Service was horrible from the start. They Refused to clean garbage off the table that we sat down at because the beer that had been Left Behind was not sold by them. However we did not put it there either and did not want to sit with dirty cups and bottles at our table. We have a friend on a medically prescribed diet for cancer treatment. She called the restaurant multiple times that day to ask if she could bring her own food. No one answered or returned her call. When we arrived at the restaurant before we walked in she asked the host if she could bring in her own food and they said yes. Later on she asked to order and pay for some salad dressing from the restaurant and they refused. Meanwhile my friends and I ordered hundreds of dollars of food and drink. Then someone from the kitchen then came out and was extremely rude and innapropriate to her she told my friend that she should have stayed home!! Discrimination like this should not be tolerated. She deserves to be able to enjoy her life despite her medical issues. Will never return here and will tell all...

Don't waste your time and money. Food is not fresh and the service is terrible. My husband and I were the only guests in the restaurant so there was really no excuse for poor service. The owners were there as well and did not do anything when they saw empty glasses and dirty dishes on our table. There were no musicians playing like they said in the reply. Also, we did not order any sort of bread like the reply from the restaurant implies. I ordered wine and a desert. My husband ordered an Irish coffee with a desert as well. The response to my review suggests that the restaurant would rather try to point blame at a different source other than their own. Very unprofessional.
