The food and drinks are to die for, actually they are to live for, not just the main dishes but even down to the pretzels and tator tots, they are stupendously good. And if you didn’t know, this place serves desert! I only figured it out because I saw that they posted a picture of carrot cake themselves on Google about a year ago, so next time I went in I asked them if they had cake, and indeed they did. Three different kinds. Carrot, Chocolate, and Cheescake I believe was the last one, and let me tell you, the slice they gave me was like half a pie size worth of cake. About a quarter, maybe even a third, it was so thick too! Very fresh and went so well with my ‘Caramel Dark Slide’ Cocktail from the Cocktail Menu, and let me say, their cocktail menu is very fun, all the drinks are deliciously crafted and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the drinks and the food. Let’s circle back to the cakes though, it’s not on the menu, but it should be, so if you’re craving sweets, make sure to ask for it, I think it was about $10, but well worth it and cheaper than Cheesecake Factory that’s for sure, but you get about the same amount as Cheesecake Factory would give, maybe even more. The people next to me were shocked, as was I, by the size and by how fresh and delicious it looked, they too didn’t know it was on the menu or that this place even sold desserts. We could see the bartender behind the counter with the other side of the cake not knowing what to do with it and I was like “Give it to them! Give it to them!” Because I could tell the couple next to me really wanted to try it as well, and they got it, on the house! :)
Super sweet of the staff and you know they probably have to throw it away at the end of the night anyways so it’s best it go to someone who will enjoy it right?
This place can get very busy on Friday and weekends so beware, you might be waiting a little bit if you’re ordering food. But don’t be afraid to flag someone down for menus or drinks, they will be happy to help! That was my only “issue” was there seemed to be a new bartender each separate occasion I’ve gone, and the last time, I asked to close out my tab 3 times and he never told the cashiers I guess, I went to use the bathroom. Came back and my to-go order was sitting there with the receipt, so I thought someone paid my tab but I wasn’t sure. So I sat there and waited for 30 minutes and almost left, because I had twin babies I had to get back to, and nobody was coming around to me anymore asking if I needed anything else. I was sure maybe the couple paid for my tab? But then finally a completely different bartender came around and said “did you want to close out?” And I explained to her that I already told the guy I did multiple times and she said “oh he never told us, you did the right thing by staying” but I guess that was on me too. I was just kind of confused. And maybe I’m misinterpreting it all. Who knows.
The atmosphere and vibes are always pretty chill too, I like the lower “deck” indoor bar but I really enjoy the rooftop bar as well, just depends on the night/day and what I’m feeling. Both are definitely an experience and either way I think it’s worth it, and it’s an endeavor you should try! A little pricey, but you get exactly what you pay for, top notch stuff my homies.

Read moreBeen to the Social many times and always was pleased with the food, drinks and service, but last night by far was the worst experience, did new management take over because it didn’t seem like the same place at all? First of all they weren’t that busy, our drinks came to our table watered down, must have sat at bar for a while because the ice was half melted, I asked for a lime in my drink, no lime, so I asked the waitress if she could get me a lime again but after 10 min I had to go to the bar myself and get a lime. We ordered a couple of appetizers and our main dishes (four in my party). The apps came with no problems but shortly after the waitress comes back with a menu in her hand and informs us that they were out of grouper, my son ordered the grouper tacos, so he switched to the Mahi instead. Then 10 min later the manager on duty comes over to inform us that they ran out of pork, we had ordered the pork nachos so we had to switch to something else once again. At that time I explained to the manager our frustrations with water downed drinks, poor service and running out of food, not one but two different items that we ordered. He apologized and explained they had a new kitchen manager that was trying to get used to everything. He comped my drink and made me a new one in an effort to make things better, but that one too was watered down, he never asked me if it was any better. My wife’s drink came in a chipped glass that cut the inside of her lip, I had to go to the bar and ask for a new glass because that one was chipped. My son drank all of his soda, not once did anyone offer to get him a refill. Once all of our main dishes came out, 2 out of the 4 dishes were okay while the other 2 were not the standard quality that we’ve received in the many past visits. My wife ordered the Downtown chicken pasta, the chicken was so dried out she couldn’t cut it with here knife, the pasta and sauce itself was dried out. I had the bacon jam sliders that too were dried out and over cooked. We asked for the manager again and explained what was wrong, he again apologized for the experience we were having and hoped we would come back and give them another chance. We returned our meals uneaten and the manager took our 2 meals off the bill and comped us 25% off everything. It was a nice gesture but still paying over $100 for a really bad overall experience, subpar food and water downed drinks from the ice melting too rapidly or just sitting up at the bar too long, I can’t say I will ever go back. There are too many other great options in that area, the Social has to realize they need to be on their A game all the time, otherwise their local competition will pick up their market share.. Also, to add to this, we weren't the only dissatisfied customers, there were at least 2 other parties there that I witnessed walking out very unhappy with there food and service as well. I hope for the sake of the rest of the customers, the Social management team gets the issues sorted out quickly otherwise I’m sure more will feel the same way as I do and spend their...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service at this establishment, particularly with the hostess and the owner, Jennifer Roberts. We had reserved a table and were told there would be a 35-minute wait. Twenty minutes in, we received a text saying we were at the top of the waitlist and to confirm by replying "1," which we did. However, we never received any further messages notifying us that our table was ready.
When we walked in to check the status, the hostess informed us that they had given our table away. When we asked to speak with the owner, Jennifer Roberts, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of addressing the mistake or finding a resolution, she snapped that the table was no longer available and refused to put us back on the list, claiming there were no more tables. Her lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer service was shocking, especially coming from the owner.
This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but damaging to her business and her reputation. Jennifer Roberts also owns Seafire Grill and Sunset Cove restaurants, and if this is the standard of service across her establishments, she risks alienating loyal customers at all her locations. Treating customers poorly and refusing to take accountability for mistakes will inevitably drive people away. Word of mouth spreads fast, and no one wants to support a business where the owner shows such blatant disregard for their patrons.
Thankfully, Bourbon on Main welcomed us, provided outstanding service, and turned a disappointing evening into a pleasant one. I will be taking my business—and that of everyone in my party—elsewhere, and I encourage others to consider supporting restaurants that value their customers. If this is how Jennifer Roberts continues to manage her establishments, I can’t see them thriving for...
