This is not my first time at AF Bennett. I had received a gift certificate this time around so I decided to get a massage. The staff at the front was kind and professional as always. The service still the same however, the masseuse was clearly not a professional at what she does. I also prefer somebody who speaks clear English and understands what their customers are asking of them. It seemed she did not understand me when I said that I had back surgery and I wanted her to be extra careful right where my scar was visibly noticeable. She ended up rubbing that area as if she was needing bread. I jumped and said please stop that hurts. What's sad is this time around, I feel I get better massages at the nail salons during a Mani/Pedi, without having to spend so much. My package was a 50 minute massage and the technique that she used, felt like I was in the mall at one of those 10 minute chairs. She used more fingers tips than palms, knuckles, and hands. Back in the day, AF Bennett had amazing talented masseuses that knew how to make you feel like Jell-O afterwards. They knew exactly how to manipulate and massage your body into heaven and almost put you to sleep! AF Bennett needs to go back to the professionals rather than try and save money. I felt pain during and after my massage. Wasn't pleasureable at all. When the massage was over, she asked me how it was and I said it was good thank you and still left a tip. I wasn't going to break the woman's heart as I feel AF Bennett knows what her qualifications are and they need to strive for better. It's AF Bennett's job to make sure they're hiring trained qualified masseuses that know how to change their techniques based on each client. It's also time for an update Guys. The carpeting has an odor to it. As you walk down the stairs to have your massage, the staircase rug is shredding to pieces and looks dirty. We are also in 2020 and no one wants to eat anything that's left open. It's a waste of product and it's just for show... AF Bennett, you should be providing bags of closed mixed nuts or granola snacks and bottled water. My last massage there was 4 yrs ago, and I was shocked to see the exact same cucumber water method and bowl of opened nuts. That's screams bacteria to me as I don't know who's hands were in them and who sneezed over them. The couch has the same covering, pillows, odor and blankets. It's also very uncomfortable. I'm totally shocked that with all the money you are making you have yet to do any upgrades in that area. Not to mention during my massage I was FREEZING. Hot lamps please. And let's not forget the awkward old slides your giving us as shoes to wear, it's embarrassing... I couldn't walk in them and their unsanitary. The robe is a triple X, very heavy and makes you feel ugly. Woman want to look and feel like woman. I felt like I was wearing men's clothing. AF Bennett, your losing your touch big time! Please change some of these problems if you care to keep your customers happy, coming back for more and providing references to their friends. I'm hopeful you will hear this and make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHi. I just wanted to share my experiences at AF Bennett Wellness Spa. My boyfriend and I went there for a couples' massage on my birthday in the beginning of June. It was such a great experience that we immediately made an appointment for a "Love the Couples massage", which we had to book several weeks in advance and cost over $500, which was fine as we expected an even better experience than the couples massage. However, from the moment we arrived, it was not what I would expect at an establishment that considers itself a wellness spa. Firstly, we were not really given any type of direction. No beverages were offered. We were given the wrong size sandals, which we thought was funny but expected to see someone outside of the massage therapists for assistance at some point. However, that was not the case. We sat and waited in the Zen room for about 30 minutes, also fine but no one ever told us what to expect next or how the "experience" would move forward. We were brought in for our massage, which was just okay. My boyfriend actually asked me if the masseuse was in a bad mood because we asked a question and were abruptly stifled. We then had the Zen massage, also having no clue what that entailed, only to be left shivering from cold without even a towel and then told not to shower for 4-6 hours. We were then told to get changed. When we were done, our "dinner" (part of the package) was unattractively plopped onto a plate, cold and congealed without, you guessed it, anything to drink. We waited to see or speak with ANYONE, but no one but other customers were around. We wandered upstairs and I calmly voiced my unhappiness, asked for coffee, asked what was next, and could I have my hair blown out (when I booked the appointment, I was told that would not be a problem as I said I would pay for it). Well. No coffee ever (several times we were told that a new pot needed to brewed) and then that there was no one to do my hair. When it was time to pay, the young woman took a very long time and then rudely stated that we owed them $165. I knew that I had added several extras but I also know math. After another 15 minutes, her error was realized and we owed $60. No apologies and I had to ask for an inclusive gift as it was not offered. We may have gone back once a week or so, but after such a disappointment and actual rudeness, I see no reason why our monies wouldn't be better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a customer of AF Bennett for years and they just keep getting better and better! I had a complete spa day there and didnāt want to leave! I was greeted by the front desk host Allie who was so sweet. She checked me in and got me situated with a hot towel and beverage of my choice. They had such delicious drinks. My favorite was the peppermint latte for the holiday season! I even met manager Krista who I canāt say enough nice things about. Sheās sweet, attentive and went above and beyond to make sure my spa day ran smoothly. I was then brought down stairs to the locker room where all my stuff was secure and then relaxed in a steam shower. They really space out everyoneās time in the steam shower nicely so itās not crowded In there. I had the whole room to myself! Then I went to the relaxation room which was my favorite place on earth. The couches are so big and comfy, itās quite and the perfect place to relax before the massage. My massuse was Jennie and she was amazing! She checked in with me periodically to make sure i was comfortable and the pressure was good. She even focused on my shoulders after I mentioned i had some pain there recently. The massage used oils, hot towels, extra pillows which were all nice touches! For my facial I had Alla and she was the best! She was so sweet and gave me so many great tips to use at home! My skin felt amazing after and I canāt wait for next one! For my manicure and pedicure I had Nina. The pedicure chair is to die for! I literally fell asleep and didnāt even mean to. Itās so big and comfy and your in your own little book with a blanket itās just so relaxing! My manicure was back upstairs with Nina and she did a great job. Even made sure I liked the color and helped me find one I liked better! For hair and makeup I had Brie. She was my instant best friend. We hit it off immediately and it waa so great to unwind with some great conversation. My hair and makeup was so beautiful. She work so hard to make sure you look and feel your best. Thank you to Anne & frank for running such an amazing spa and saloon. Itās the only place Iāll go for a full day of pampering! The attention to detail, the kind staff. You really feel like they want you to have the best day...
