Archer Halal Poultry — Attraction in New York

I have ordered a few times from here. I found that the request for "roast and cut up" was taken lightly. They burn the feet of then chicken but the rest is white and not roasted at all. Today was unique. I ordered 2 chickens and when I got home and was washing and cleaning then - I noticed that my 2 chickens have 1 head and 1 wing. 3 wings are missing and a head. I called and spoke to the girl. I am sure that these poultry places so take a piece or 2 from each order - maybe to make up a portion of their dinner? who knows? ALL I know is that at 2.99 LB there should not be any missing parts!

I was told to come and collect a free chicken.

So I dropped off my baby and I go to the poultry place. The girl at the desk asked me "where is the chicken i want to count it myself and weight it?' I was shocked? WHAT? I am here because you people stole obvious parts of my order and now you want me to bring it back? She then went on to say she checked the area and there was no extra chicken? Well, thats great! so you sell chickens without heads? she was so annoying!

ANYHOW, after a "discussion" with the owner and my explaining to him its not about the free chicken. This is not the first time, I have noticed my chicken is off on parts! BUT this time, I had enough of paying for something and not getting it.... he gave me a free chicken. I am here to tell anyone, if you notice your order is off .. say something! I am sure this owner is not paying those Hispanic ladies fair wages. I am sure that he is making them work for pennies. SO speak up!! this way they too can be...

It's a shame that they open halal business but do not adhere to the halal morals and ethics. We placed a big order of chicken and meat from them 2 weeks ago and the experience wasn't pleasant. The 12lb of meat were inedible and went to waste. The meat was so hard that even an extended time in a slow cooker didn't fix the problem. Imagine trusting a halal business with your Iftar food and you end up not being able to eat it? We called the business to complain and the owner's son was honest enough to admit that during Ramadan they get old aged cows often and that as a curtesy he will give us a replacement for the order that was bad as a compensation. Then he went and asked his father and came back saying that they can only offer half of the quantity and 1 chicken but not all of the order and we accepted the offer. When we called today he was like we can't give you half the quantity but we can give you only 5lb and 1 chicken and he is being generous because the meat was fine and everyone buys from it . He even told us not to buy from them again which is a given because no one in their right mind would want to buy meat just to get tortured by it and throw money in the garbage! I put five star before & change mind after doing Qurban with Cow & Goat.They are good to buy chicken only. On the day of Qurban they treat us with disrespect and rob us in the name of tips till we get out. 1st day of eid I calculated I end up with paying tips of $80 on a $1150 goat. For cows every step Without $50/$100 tips they are not willing to cut & even touch our cow after slaughter. That’s tips we need to pay for skin-off the cow, taking cut meat to cutting machine , then cutting meat needs to pay tips, taking meat needs to pay tips. Every single steps we need to pay tips with cutting charges of $300 on top off $3.50/lb of whole cow. We complain several times to office but They all don’t care and start shouting with disrespect with us and telling that the system here if you want your cow. When I booked our cow they said they will process every thing, cut the cow in pieces, meat will be ready to cook after taking home. But on the qurban day while making payment they added cutting charges $300 that they did not told us on booking and we need to pay surprise tips of $50/$100 minimum tips in every single steps otherwise they are not willing to process the cow.
