Never in my life have I ever experienced anything like this from Shake Shack or any other restaurant for that matter. I am a HUGE Danny Meyer's fan and have visited other restaurants in the Union Square Hospitality Group. I even read Setting the Table because I was just so impressed at the culture and food at Shake Shack and Danny's commitment to excellence. But I know what happened during my July 7th order is not something he would appreciate. I purchased a veggie burger as I had one for the first time at the Columbia University location the day before and it was the best I ever had. And I've had a bunch. When it showed up as soon as I opened it I knew it wasn't going to be as good as it was the day before. There was hardly any sauce and the avocado wasn't even cut up just thrown on the burger. Once I started eating it, it felt as though I was eating paper with the burger. I thought maybe since it was in a lettuce wrap and I hadn't removed the outer wrapping that maybe that's what I was tasting. So I removed it and continued to eat the burger when I was overwhelmed with the taste of paper. When I looked at the burger I realized that the burger had inside what looked like parchment cooking paper. It was basically cooked inside of the burger! I was horrified! And extremely disappointed. I was able to receive a refund through Uber Eats but I called the store multiple times and no one picked up...ever. It says that this is the manager's line and someone will contact you in 24 hours but the voicemail is full. I am so disgusted at this experience and will NEVER order from this location again. I got a text at 1:32pm that my food was ready and when I arrived at the counter the girl with the orange hair told me it wasnt ready and she continued to prep ubereats orders as people stood and waited and complained to her. Her only concern was folding and stapling the bags for the ubereats orders. I finally got my food at1:56pm after I asked her to speak to a manager, that I never got to speak to because she clearly was so occupied and more concerned with sending out ubereats orders and told me I had to wait until she finish folding and stapling before she can call her manager. Someone from the back actually was nice enough to ask me what the order was and turned around and gave it to me within 2 minutes. I go back to the office and my bit into my burger that is still pink and not fully cooked. You would have thought because I waited over 30 minutes for my food it would have at least been cooked through. My fries were also cold and soggy

Read morethe place was empty. you can order at the counter or via kiosk. the kiosk is very annoying because no matter what i press it tries to upsell me and adds things to my cart that i dont want. very tedious and annoying just to ORDER. they have NO meal deals so you have to order all your shit separately and its expensive. we got table service and it came promptly. the mango lemonade with raspberry popping boba was pretty good. not sweet at all, though, and i had a lot of boba left over by the end that there was no spoon for so i had to scrape it out with a straw. the french onion soup burger was pretty good but it tasted nothing like french onion soup. i also got the onion and cheese hot dog and they gave me a RIPPED UP bun and all the toppings kept falling out.. what a horrible experience. this quality is a joke for the price. you couldnt even give me a hot dog that has the bun together? i shouldve sent it back. they also didnt...
