Blink Fitness (PureGym) — Attraction in New York

Legal Thieves : I was told to join for $1 and to my surprise I was charged $108, all the while, this is without stepping 1 foot in this place. I work nights and sleep days so when I'm available they are not. The kicker is that you can only cancel your subscription in person or you will have a bill attached to your Life forever. They charged me $50 maintenance fee. Bogus Charge after Bogus CHARGE. Today is the 1st. I finally muster up the time to go cancel and was told that another Charge for this new month will ensure. MIND YOU I ONLY JOINED THIS $1 CAMPAIGN. IF YOU DON'T PAY THEM YOU WILL. BE BILLED MONTHLY FOR LIFE. SO IF YOU TOMORROW CANNOT PAY THEM AND TELL THEM TO TERMINATE MY your membership you can't without paying another month!!! Whether you go or not!!! Thinking it was 1 dollar and that's it. You then charge me a maintenance fee, and charge me for another month because today is the 1st. I can only cancel if I pay the recurring Bill. I NEVER STEPPED FOOT IN THERE AND YOU BIND ME IN A CONTRACT, WITH HIDDEN FEES. THEY WILL SAY NO, PAY US ANOTHER MONTH TO CANCEL. I'VE BEEN ON EAST TREMONT ALMOST 50 YRS AND I WILL DEFINITELY EXPOSE THEIR HIDDEN AGENDA, and their HIDDEN FEES... BE MORE SPECIFIC WITH YOUR...

This experience was dreadful. I really the day I decided to sign up to this mouse trap gym. I felt suspicious right from when I called to ask about their membership package. I won't mention any names but steer clear of this place. First they want to know about your financial status. As if they are going to rib you. Then even if your not ready for a trainer they force one on you. On top of all of that when I went to cancel, I only used my card in this place and literally 2 days later I found suspicious activity in my card( not saying it was the gyms fault) I decided to cancel and they didn't want to take cash. I finally was able to cancel it but they went ahead and also charged my card again!! I had got the membership for when I can't excersize in my home I have a gym next to my daughter's house so I could get my workout in the early morning. They had the audacity to say I didn't come in to cancel. Honestly I would have anything to just never step foot I this place. Extremely unpleasant experience. I'm going to planet fitness atleast their I expect this kind of treatment but not from blink. Truly...

First off I want to thank Blink for coming into our community, lord knows we needed something good around here that's not a discount store, fast food chain, barbershop or pharmacy lol. I commend Blink for opening here and I hope it's here for many many more years to come. I've been coming here for the past 8 months and I have great times every single time the staff is great as well, I've read a few reviewers speaking about George and what I can say is I never had any bad interactions with him he's been great every time we see each and when I do see him up or down stairs doing his job he's just making sure the other adults rerack their equipment I don't see anything wrong with that so shout out to him.

My only "complaints" will be:

the machines breaking too often and repair times taking a while but I know it's not the gyms fault so I'll forgive it. I will love to see other types of work out equipment but I know this space is limited so we have to do with...
