The worst cake weâve ever ordered for $163!
Firstly, the cakeâs appearance was far from what we requested. It looked sloppy, and the stitching was poorly executed. We were told that edible paper was used for decoration, but this turned out to be untrue. Instead, it was merely printed on regular paper and placed on the cake, which is completely unacceptable.
More critically, the taste was dreadfulânone of our guests were willing to eat it. We felt it necessary to return the cake to your establishment. However, upon our return, we encountered a shocking lack of customer service from a woman at the counter, and the baker who made the cake responded with an aggressive attitude.
I will be taking my business elsewhere!
Thank you for your response.
However, I must address some inaccuracies in your reply. We specifically requested a $100 bill on the cake, as it was a request from the birthday child. Additionally, we asked for a "Happy Birthday" sign, which was missing! We also requested an edible print, considering it was for a child's birthday celebration. The inclusion of metallic coins was misleading, as the children were eager to eat them, not realizing they were foil. Unfortunately, this situation overshadowed the birthday celebration. Furthermore, we were disappointed with the quality of the cream, which did not seem handmade and appeared to be store-bought. When we contacted the bakery after we saw the cake Dusay informed us that a refund would be processed. However, when we returned the cake, we encountered an attitude which only added to...
Read moreI recently visited Pavlova Bakery in New York City, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the cozy and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed.
Now, onto the star of the show â the baked goods! I tried their signature pavlova, and it was absolutely divine. The meringue was perfectly crisp on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside, topped with fresh, seasonal fruits and a light, creamy filling. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and texture.
In addition to the pavlova, I sampled a few other treats, including their croissants and a slice of their chocolate cake. Each item was freshly made and bursting with flavor. The croissants were buttery and flaky, while the chocolate cake was rich and moist.
Overall, Pavlova Bakery exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether youâre in the mood for a decadent dessert or a simple pastry, this bakery has something for everyone. I highly recommend stopping by if youâre in the area â you wonât be...
Read moreI came for dessert before and I liked it but this time I came for breakfast and unfortunately it was very bad. The bread was left over from yesterday and it was drying while having breakfast, I guess it is heated in the microwave and served. I ordered a breakfast plate and menemen. First came the menemen plate, then the bread and then the breakfast plate. The menemen was cold and very runny, it needed to be cooked a little more. Since the bread came after the menemen, I had to eat it cold and could only taste it. As a result, breakfast service definitely needs to be learned. If the chef working in the back is foreign, he should be taught how Turkish breakfast is...
