Hanimeli Turkish Bakery — Restaurant in New York

Trust me if I could give zero for service I would give that. The snoby, rude, over makeuped waitress work there, is a horrible human being. I go there because my daughter wants bread from there. I noticed many time that this particular waitress has very racist and ignorant attitude towards me. I am a south asian person. Every time she makes me wait for a long time to get my order and take other people ( from all light skin customer)order before me. I ignored her behavior, and just get my order and leave. The other two girl who works in different days are nice. Today, while i was paying my order that specific waitress kept doing something with the credit card machine. It kept showing massage try again. Then she told me with an attitude " is it a food stamp or something". It was so offensive. I was shocked, i just said her no. Are you that blind who can't see how a credit card looks like. Anyway payment went through and I left. Trust me I will never go that bekary again. I have seen other places, this place are far from them, I recommend Hanim Eli, has nice seatings, quite with soft background music, they have great food and choices, lots of variety of pastries, supervisor taking good care of this establishment, making impressive improvements, he’s got good ideas, knows how to treat customers appropriate, their breakfast menemen egg plate is the best I’ve tasted, and sulu börek my favourite, pastries I can’t resist, I always eat to the fullest here, Ben. Horrible service by our cashier and Manager - Yasar Bickici! He is rude, hostile and very disrespectful. Provokes customers and will not act friendly to them! Will not turn on the AC in hot and humid weather for the suffering Seniors just to save some money. Needs to be reported to Dept. of Consumer affairs and Better Business Bureau.

This is a shame since the Coffee, Tea, pastries and Baklava is excellent. Please treat your customers fairly and the way you want to be treated...
