Everything was great until...
Speaking from experience let me just start out by saying they have great food. Their eel sushi is excellent!!! I've tried many things from this restaurant. I have dined in, got take out and also ordered delivery before. I have come here on special and regular occasions with my family and it was my favorite restaurant. Some of the things that I tried which are very good is the eel avocado roll, Philadelphia roll, chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, miso soup, fried oreo desert, mochi ice cream and bubble tea. Their service is usually quick but sometimes it takes longer since they have many customers. I'd say this place is pretty known on Brighton and gets a lot of orders during lunch and dinner times. The restaurant itself is small, clean and comforting. The pricing used to be pretty average but now it went up due to prices on food growing I assume. For instance usually one piece of eel sushi would cost $1.75 but now it's about $3 each. As I mentioned before this place sells bubble tea and being a big fan of it I would often come in to buy some. The bubble tea was fine until the next time I started to order it and there was too much ice so I thought maybe they they made a mistake and brushed it off. Another day, I came in during a busy hour and waited for nearly 35 mins for an order of one bubble tea and once I got it, it was almost fully filled with ice from top to bottom and just the right amount of the tea was there to cover the ice up. VERY disappointed, I was a regular customer and really enjoyed their service but after that I won't be...
Read moreFood was great but service was horrible. I ordered online through their websites delivery service. The issue was with the Choose 8 Rolls for $38.95. On the website, it just gives you a box to write in the rolls. No captions about exceptions or what can be included in that. We ordered 8 different rolls from the section of the menu with regular rolls, nothing from the special rolls section. As soon as I placed my order, I get a phone call. About 6 out of the 8 rolls that I wrote down are not included in this Choose 8 roll deal. I explained that their website had no notes about any limitations but she said if we want it, it would be an extra charge. She came up with $15, I knew it was on the spot because it took her 5 seconds to come up with this number, she didn’t do any actual math. I tried to cancel the order but they said they couldn’t do it on their end and I waited for an email that never came. I ended up calling them to just go ahead with the order and having to pay the extra $15. Even thought it was their website’s fault. What bothers me the most was that we placed an order for $100 and they were the ones in the wrong, so instead of offering us a courtesy for their poor management, I had to deal with paying extra and not being able to cancel my order. It’s just poor customer service. Be careful when ordering online and don’t expect anything if...
Read moreFirst time having/ordering sushi from here. We usually eat at that chain that has multiple locations and begins with the letter “M”. I have to say, the sushi was really fresh and one of the rolls was still warm (it was delivered by a guy in a bike, I would say the ride would have had to be at least 15min). What I really liked is that the rolls were not overfilled with rice. I’ve been to sooooo many sushi places in Brooklyn where 1/3 of the roll is rice and you get full from the rice very quickly. We shared 4 rolls and felt good, not stuffed. I will definitely eat their sushi again. I only gave it 4 stars because the Kani Salad was just ok. We ordered the Christmas Roll, Amazing Roll, Brighton Beach Roll, Firework Roll (served warm), we also got the Kani Saladand, and Pizza with Tuna (this was just ok, the...
