During our recent visit to New York City, we stopped by the Central Park Information Kiosk at Columbus Circle, and I have to say—it was more helpful than I expected. Located right at the entrance of Central Park South, near Columbus Circle, this small kiosk is very easy to find. It’s surrounded by beautiful scenery, horse-drawn carriages, street musicians, and the buzz of the city—so the contrast between the busy street and the calm of the park is really something special.

The staff at the kiosk were friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable. We were a bit unsure about where to start exploring the park, and they gave us a free map along with some great recommendations for routes depending on how much time we had. Since we were visiting with family and had limited time, they suggested the highlights like Strawberry Fields, The Mall, and Bethesda Terrace — all within walking distance and worth seeing.

They also answered a few questions about nearby subway stations, restrooms, and food vendors, which saved us a lot of time. It’s not a big place — just a small booth — but it’s a great resource if you’re visiting Central Park for the first time or just want a quick tip before heading in.

I’d definitely recommend stopping here, even if just for a minute. It adds a bit of local insight to your visit and helps you make the most of your time in...

If you are a tourist do not take the bike carts from the street to Central park. They tell you one price when you get in and then you're giving another when you get out. This man charged me 40 dollars for a five minute ride. That I could have walked in 10min. I'm non confrontational, so I don't like to argue. I left the Sheraton Times square hotel. I thought a fifteen to twenty dollar ride would be worth it. Just to get some video in the cart. After I put his full name on the internet he probably won't take zelle anymore. DZHamshed Berdev is the driver. Do not ride any bikes that look like this. Do not take any bikes from the street. Go into the park and then hire someone for...

We came!!We saw!! We did not conquer...not enough time...😫😫. We are coming back!!! This park has everything. We saw people and dogs and street art!!! They say to have your dog on leash but there were so many off leash that we did it too. Woogie is pretty obedient so we had no issue with him running away or causing havoc. You can walk for hours and not get thru this park!!!! We are really thinking of coming back or our way home...

I had an excellent experience going through central park with my guide, seeing all of the sights and experiencing the movies and television shows up close. I would absolutely recommend seeing the park via bike or horse drawn carriage! That way, there's nothing to miss. It's a really big park! My N.Y. trip has been absolutely wonderful!
