Stay away from this place. I have the worst experience with Cubesmart customer service on 6th street. They are nice enough to have you get in, but then you deal with the worst customer service ever. I spoke with the General Manager months ago and she told me I could get the better price when switching my unit if I move all of my stuff from my current unit to another unit, but then she left the place, I then spoke with the other store managers on the phone about the better deal when switching my unit. They said if I want to have a better deal, I have to move all of my stuff from my unit to another unit to get the promotion price. I said ok and told them I would come on Saturday morning to move my stuff. They said if I move my stuff a day later, they only charge a day late. My friends and I then came to move stuff on Apr 9th, then they said they never offered the price. Wow… I then said okay I would move out. My bill due on the 8th every month, I moved out on Apr 9th morning (which is couple hours late), didn’t use the insurance and they charged me $12 insurance for the whole month I don’t use and the portion of the month (they charged the portion of the month is understandable but charged me the whole month for insurance that I don’t use is ridiculous) I told them I moved out couple hours late and they charged me the whole month of insurance. They kept saying they didn’t, I tried to ask if I could talk to the General Manager. They cruelly said No and told me to pay if I want to move out. If not, they wouldn’t close the lease and it will go to my credit collector something. Very cruel.. Read morePrices seemed like a steal at first, then I got to the storage unit and realized I'd have to climb a large step ladder and struggle to get my things up and inside the unit. What they don't tell you is the smaller units sit way up top on the other ground level units. I made a reservation in the early morning and arrived around 2pm with all the items I planned to place in storage. Upon arrival the office was closed with a sign that read "Be back at 2:30pm". I was unable to access my unit as it had a small pad lock, so I waited. And waited. And waited. Coming up on 3:15pm and no one was back in the office. I called customer service twice and they were no help. Finally I got a hold of the manager at another location nearby and they coordinated someone from their store to come and assist, noting that "someone should have been at my location and they didn't know what happened". After almost two hours of waiting around I was offered no incentives, just a few empty apologies. I tried to ask customer service and the staff member that was sent over for a refund and I was told that they could not help me and I would need to speak with the manager of that specific location. Read moreAfter booking on the web, I was quickly contacted by a manager at CS to go over details but I screened the call since I didn't recognize the number. I soon ran into him at the facility where he checked me in to my unit and made sure I was happy and satisfied with everything (I was). He was very friendly, courteous, and professional. He took the time to talk with me, answer all my questions and make sure I had everything I needed. I was very impressed with my initial experience at CS. A day later, I dropped off my first load of things to put into storage. Everything went very smoothly with the exception of my access code not working in the elevator the first time. However, the young woman at this front desk was able to rectify this immediately and it was a complete non-issue (probably just a security check for a first time visit).
