The Experience
• Haircut: Mustafa took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, offering his expert advice while respecting my preferences. The fade was flawless, the blending was seamless, and he shaped everything perfectly to complement my face. It’s rare to find a barber who is both technical and creative, but Mustafa masters both effortlessly. • Beard Trim & Line-Up: This was a game-changer! Mustafa has a sharp eye for detail, and my beard has never looked this sharp and well-groomed. He lined everything up with incredible precision, making sure the symmetry and shape were spot on. • Customer Service: What truly sets Mustafa apart is his professionalism and friendly attitude. He makes sure you’re comfortable, checks in throughout the cut to ensure you’re happy with the progress, and even gives top-tier grooming advice on how to maintain your look between visits.

Read moreI actually followed barber Danny from a different shop to Elite. Yes, he’s that good, and anyone will tell you, when you find a barber or stylist who does a great job you stick with that person! Ive been going to Danny for 2 years now, and he’s seriously, the best! Im Black, and having moved to Midtown, I was worried about not being able to find someone close by to do cut my hair as I am super busy and no longer was able to go to the place I went to when I lived in Brooklyn. So, when I walked by the shop he used to be in and looked in the window, there he was, cutting a Black man’s hair! Well, I went there a few days later, and he was there. I still had to ask, “you can cut this kind of hair?” And he answered “yes, it’s hair, isn’t it?” Perfect answer. Hair is hair, and if you’re a dope barber you can cut any texture. I’ve had a mohawk, skin fades, regular fades, with Danny, and he has been able to pull them all off. Not only is he a great barber, he’s also a great person. Super friendly, and he’s hilarious. I also like that he knows not to do a lineup on a woman unless she says so. I don’t do lineups (Im a woman, if you couldn’t guess by now. Lol). As for the shop itself, it’s in a great location, small, but modern, and most importantly, CLEAN! The rest of the barbers/stylists are super friendly! Also, I forgot to mention the hot towel at the end feels SO GOOD!!! If you’re looking for a great Manhattan shop, check out Elite Barbers, and ask for Danny; you’ll be...
Read moredo NOT go here if you are black/mixed race with afro hair. i’m never one to leave reviews, but i had to in this case. i recently moved to nyc and had an important event to attend, so i decided i would try places near my apartment for a haircut. came across this place on google and their website looked good so i thought why not. had my haircut with Danny and went in with a reference photo (of my own hair) and explained that i had been growing my hair out for almost a year and wanted to retain length, and explained that my hair shrinks as it is washed/has product in it. i thought we were on the same page given i had explained what i wanted (basically a low taper), with a photo of my own hair after my previous barber in chicago had cut it. however, i left the barber shop looking like i had a high top and had months of growth shaven in an instant. i would’ve spoken up during the appointment, but honestly it was over ever since the razors touched my hair because he had completely flattened out my sides. not to mention i was made to pick out my hair myself and also he almost had me leaving his chair with an uneven fade (the left side blended way higher than the right side). i paid in full and left a tip to be respectful and because the haircut wasn’t the worst I’ve had, but i left feeling unhappy and felt like i was not listened to at all. i was given a loyalty card but i will never be...
