This place is fantastic. I went here for an early dinner and was not disappointed. This place has contemporary feel to the design yet respect for the old culture of Italy. Their menu was simple and delicious. We order the baked clams and fresh buffalo mozzarella for our starters and it was delicious. The clams came out hot and the mozzarella was cool which ended up being great paired together. The service was on top of their game. Always filling up our water, super polite and made time to speak with us throughout the night making small talk. It is little things like that that make a dining experience go from great to superb. For our main course I ordered the Branzino and my friend ordered the black linguine with bluefish tuna chunk. They were both delicious and would definitely recommend either to a friend. They bring out the Branzino for viewing before they cook it. They debone it and serve it with a lemon and other sides and a delicious sauce on the side. My friend was very impressed with the pasta dish. He lives on 49th street and says he's definitely coming back. We finished the meal with a slice if cheese cake. They say it was made fresh in the restaurant. I thought it was amazing. Its not as thick as others I have had before. It had great consistency and paired so nicely with the mint leaves and whipped cream. Over all it was a great meal and I intend on returning. I think I am gonna have to watch the film Il...

It's difficult to write objective negative review. I pass by this place place few times a week and it has always looked appealing. It looked like a place that requires special occasion.
We were seated and served water promptly. Insanely fast i should say. Little did we know that bottle of San Pellegrino was $10.50 at that moment. My wife asked a waiter for menus after some time sitting with bread and water. I ordered margarita on the rocks. Fatal mistake, not only it was mediocre margarita in the martini glass, but it was $23.50 mediocre margarita.
Poor guy aka our waiter, recited all dishes on the menu as specials, it was tiresome experience. Only then we were able to request restaurant week menu. Our waiter gave up on us after this, restaurant week menu was the end of the journey for him. Mussels and calamari were decent, can't complain about them. My grilled salmon was ok, but I would appreciate having the rest of the dish items fully cooked. My wife's ravioli were tasty, but felt like appetizer, not the main dish.
Next came the desert. Panna cotta was a bit too sweet. Tiramisu was tiny and edible at most.
Buckets placed in the middle of the floor take this experience to...
Read moreWe made a 10:00PM post theater reservation during restaurant week. An article on Thrilllist had suggested this restaurant as one of the better Restaurant Week venues. We were sat promptly at a lovely table. The ambiance is beautiful with fresh tomatoes displayed artistically and a cooking station were pasta is prepared and delivered to your table. I have worked in a few restaurants and realize that sometimes, late in the evening even a well oiled machine doesn't run well. The plentiful staff might work well when the restaurant is hopping but they slow down when there are three tables occupied. I feel that is what happened here. There was plenty of staff but we waited for our wine list, then our wine order to be taken. Everyone was very nice though. My friend and I both ordered the eggplant parmigiana and found it to have more cheese than eggplant. I ordered the Roasted Veal in Mushroom truffles sauce. The sauce was very good. The veal was stringy and tough. My friend enjoyed her Tagliolini al Pesto but didn't find it rave worthy. The hazelnut gelato and ricotta cheesecake were wonderful and a great way to...
