After going to this location several times I can say that my experience is fairly consistent.
Busy during the back to school peak season, and slows down as the school year progresses.
The company has a system - albeit a slight faulty one - which can be frustrating and time consuming especially if your aren't the aggressive type.
Upon arriving you need to check-in to the school that your child is enrolled for the year and you're then given a sheet that has your customer number on a school uniform price list. Depending on who is manning the front you may encounter someone that can be short and snippy and just cares about moving the line - which no big deal, especially when the lines can get long, however, a simple hello or welcome would suffice, I hate feeling like cattle....
The next process is where I believe the company shines. The associates that help you with sizing are friendly and patient and really attentive to your needs. They give a full service experience especially if you are bringing your child in to try on the items - and any questions that you may have regarding the uniforms - they usually are happy to help. I am always really pleased after being helped by the fitting associates.
After the aforementioned process, you get in line and it gets VERY confusing and frustrating especially during the peak times. When you order the the silk screens (gym uniforms) , they are made on site, the frustrating part is when your number is called (via an intercom) you are thrown off line to pick up your item and will have to go to the back of the line to purchase.... đ, no one is there to navigate the traffic so you are either getting aggressive and getting back to your place in line, going to the back of the line or, at the side of the line waiting to jump in and pay for your items....it can go any number of ways, but having someone there to guide customers eliminates the guess work but because that isn't provided they fall short.
The cashiers are mediocre...it's very transactional with minimal engagement....it's a missed opportunity to upsell and deliver more customer service.
It feels as if it's monopolized (not sure if that is the case)...but I have been told that this is the only official place to get your child's logo uniforms. So you get what you get, luckily it isn't that bad but there is room for improvement.
Tip: If you can avoid the crowds, do it. Go towards the end of the school year or during the summer. You may have to do some logistics and inventory of what you need which will make the process so...
Read moreThe staff at this store are wonderful. I have to also point out how professional and mature (unlike the people with children (sadly) waiting on line today who were mad because they had to wait like an immature child would be) the staff were today at diffusing a hostile situation in which ADULTS decided to behave like spoiled children, specifically the female in yellow with the ponytail extension, due to their own inattentiveness. Mike the manager was 100% spot on in stopping what he was doing to come over to diffuse in explaining to the bored simpletons who decided to join on the mayhem, that I had literally just been in the store minutes before regarding a preexisting issue with my order, since the female in yellow thought it would be cool to try to lie to Mike and act like I was cutting the line. As far as the preexisting issue, Mike was very accommodating because the problem began at the Atlas Park location and he was kind enough to help rectify their error, which to my knowledge, he didn't have to do, so bravo there, and to the young man at returns, and the short haired blond lady in front who answered my stock question. It's a shame that all people aren't as courteous as the staff here, even given the issue at Atlas Park (Queens location) where the problem began, the staff were super friendly and courteous there as well at the end of the day! Great job Flynn O'hara HR, it'd be awesome to know what their secret is to finding...
Read moreGo shopping in JUNE or July! Donât wait until the end of August. Or use their YouTube tutorial to learn how to measure and buy online at least 3 weeks before school starts. If you wait until the end of August, you will need to wait in a long line. Just get yourself together snd use the tutorial to measure your child and buy online. We just found out my daughter was going to a Catholic school because we just moved. The store is RIGHT off the 6. They had a great system to handle the crowds. A security guard, a lot of staff is there as well. A man comes to ask your school while you wait in line and gets you the papers you need to order for your school. They have items to try on, a toilet and dressing rooms. We found them very helpful and they had the items embroidered all ready for our school.
We ordered on Saturday online and I worried it would not come in time so I went to the shop yesterday but the online order came in 3 days!!!! I ordered Saturday and the outfit is here Tuesday by 12 pm . Wow!!!!!!!! They must be working around the clock. The website said 7-10 days but I got it in 3! That being said, Order early. However, they work hard to get everyone what they need and we were impressed. They have systems down. We canât believe the online order ame so fast. The YouTube tutorial they have...
