I always go to this supermarket either before or after work. Tonight I went to get some items off my Wic card. I had $24 in fruits and vegetables. I went over the limit so the cashier CINDY RODRIGUEZ said I had to pay $12.66. I asked her what am I being charged for. She said the cherries was $15.45. I told her that I wasn’t paying $12 for cherries because that was too overpriced. I told her take back the cherries and let me get something that is equal to the same amount which was $2.79. She called another lady to the register. They both can not speak clear English at all. They both was speaking to each other in Spanish. Then I saw Cindy get one of the plastic bags that you put the fruits and vegetables in. The lady poured some in the plastic bag then pushed it in my shopping bag. As I went to gather my shopping bags I took the cherries out the shopping bag to see how much they gave me. It was 6 cherries. I demanded to speak to the manager. I waited for him for 20 minutes for him to come. The security that was waiting for him got frustrated and left. Not only did he take a long time to see what was wrong with a customer. He was absolutely rude. He told me I couldn’t replace it with any other item and I needed to call the WIC office to complain. I told him WIC don’t have anything to do with this. It’s you. This was so disrespectful especially coming for a customer that will shop in there paying cash 4-5 a week. I have bank statements to prove to shop in there. But trust me my hard earned money will never be spent there ever again.

By far the worst experience as I introduced my self and explained about the rice another customer approached and told him she had the same issue and she discarded of that rice he still didn’t do anything to rectify the situation nor did he even bother to check the bag of rice with the worms I will upload videos and photos of the rice with the live worms in it. Poor service for not even attempting to try and exchange or go look at the other rices that are being sold. I did attempt to call there customer service line left a message and also will show that nowhere there indicates a receipt is needed for a exchange only sign says receipt for REFUND which we did not want we wanted a EXCHANGE. #foodbazzar #BBB Hope reviews this situations and rectifies this issue.

The manager (Asian man) is a piece of dog feces and treats his customers as such. I have had several negative experiences at this Food Bazaar and the other but kept going back because they are closest to where I live. Tonight I went to pick up a few things including some steak to cook tonight because I know it never lasts long. I never buy ground beef from here because it's always brown and grey in the middle. Why? Because they take old meat and cover it with fresher, red meat and repackage it. What truly rubbed me the wrong way was that some items are not priced. I've encountered this often in bodegas, but in a brand name grocery store this should not happen as often as it does. They have baskets above the produce section, which I chose to buy because I saw a price sticker that said $ .20 as in twenty cents. What a bargain! There is no sign to indicate otherwise, so I chose a basket of my liking. When I got to the front the cashier rung it up and told me the basket was $7.99. I said, no they are priced at the back for twenty cents. She got a Hispanic/ Latina manager to come over who spoke in Spanish to say "That's not possible" and rather than speaking with me herself, she grabbed the Asian manager. He came over to suggest that I could pay for my items and then leave my paid for items at the front while I went to the back to prove him wrong.

I could have brought up baskets initially that confirmed that $ .20 cent cost if I had anticipated this issue. The manager could have went and honestly looked to find those other baskets I was referring to. Instead he disrespected and inconvenienced me by asking me to pay two separate transactions for these items. If I were at Trader Joes they would have either taken my word for it and rung me up to keep one happy customer, or they would have had another available associate run back to honestly confirm that the cost was marked twenty cents. Neither of these things happened, and because of their horrible technology or poor customer service, my transaction could not be suspended and would have needed to either be paid for up front or re-rung.

This is horrible customer service! It's not the price of a basket that I'm angry about, it's the disrespectful tone and condescending attitude that the store manager had with me that makes this review necessary. "The customer is always right" doesn't mean I'm actually correct all the time, but when I am and you disrespect that, you lose a customer. After paying for my groceries I asked the kind and respectful guy at the check bag area out front to hold my groceries for me while I went back inside. I grabbed two of the twenty cent baskets and brought them up to the Asian manager who looked embarrassed. He COULD have had the humility to apologize to me and offer my item to me anyway, he chose not to.

*ethnicities mentioned only because I did not see a single name tag to help me to identify these people. I also find it unfortunate that the Hispanic/ Latina woman could not speak to me herself and possibly as a power move asked the male or possibly more senior manager to handle it rather than handling it herself.

Do not go to this grocery store if you want to be treated...

Yesterday July 2, 2017, I went to the food bazaar supermarket on Gate Avenue, like I do every week to do my grocery shopping. I spend an average $200 a week worth of organic products for my daughter and I every week at this place. Like every week, I parked my car in the supermarket garage and crossed the street to get the grocery money out of the ATM. 2 minutes time frame. When I was walking inside the supermarket, I spotted this really nasty guy "towing my car" I told him that I just crossed the street to take $130 to buy groceries. I was holding the money in my hand. The guy crossed the street with my car and asked me to follow him. Once outside, I told him, once again, " listen I am going inside the supermarket you can see I am holding the money in my hand." The guy refused to give me the car. Instead. he asked me to give him a $125.00 to give me the car. I explained to him that the $130 was all the money I had to buy groceries for my daughter and I that if I gave it to him I would not be able to afford to feed my child for the week. He did not care. He did not asked me for my driver's license or gave me a receipt. He just took my groceries' money for the week and drove back into the parking lot. I truly believe this person pocketed that money- my daughter and I groceries' money for the week. I was left with $5 .00 to buy food for my daughter and me for the week. I would never, ever set foot in that store again. Yes, he stole my and my dauther's $125 food money for the week and that is something the supermarket manager/owner is awared that goes on and they do not do anything to protect the loyal customers from "scan" like this one. I would never set foot in that store again. Please, please people be awared of this situation since it can happen to anyone. Better yet, find yourself a more honest and decent place to buy your groceries and stay clear from this place.

I am giving it one star because otherwise it did not allow me to post the review, but I will give this...
