Do not spend your hard-earned money here. They don’t care about customers — only about how they feel. Go to gamestop or pc Richard and sons They’ll treat you with some dignity at least…
I visited the store on Sunday, 11/10/25. There were two employees working, both Hispanic and English-speaking. I asked one of them if he could offer a discount on a $250 headset since it had been opened and wasn’t brand new. He said no.
I left to grab a water and came back a few minutes later. I politely asked again if he could at least remove the taxes since I was paying in cash. Instead of handling it professionally, he looked frustrated, turned around, and used profanity. I told him that’s no way to treat a customer. It honestly shocked me how rude and unprofessional he was acting — like I was asking him personally to pay for the item.
Later, I decided to return and buy the headset anyway, using my $20 store credit. The other employee told me I couldn’t use it because I didn’t have the physical receipt, even though I had a photo of it on my phone (which the manager had previously said was fine). He said he didn’t want to “get in trouble” and would have to contact the manager — but never did.
I can’t fathom how they think this kind of behavior is acceptable for a business! I can’t even ask questions about a price without being treated poorly?
They’re always on their phones, and would it kill them to just be kind? You guys seriously need to reconsider your work environment and how you treat people who walk through the door.
What kind of store runs like this? They don’t value customers’ time or money. I’ve worked in customer service for 8 years, and I’ve never seen such disrespect or lack of effort to help. Completely...
Read moreI lost $100 as soon as I pulled up and step outside my ride. Boom as soon as I walk in i realize I lost it and I just took 20seconds to get inside worrying about it being closed because the place had no lights on at all it look like they were closed for they day. And then I get there and ask for the old system called ps2 and they didn't have a ps3 UT they gave me my system andi asked about the return policy and the said it works and if I return It I get credit no return of my funds but that's messed up if the system doesn't work why can't I get my money back is doesn't make sense so basically if I get what I want cool but if it's doesn't work now I have to get something I don't want because once u spend in there that money stays in there forever I guess so I didn't even bother keeping the receipt because I can't get my money back if it do a nt work and guess what it doesn't work good at all it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't read the disc all day messing with the system to get it to work. Now I have to return it for something useful and working condition but let's see if they redeem themselves by taking the system that doesn't work and letting me use the moneybags something I don't want but at least can use without receipt let's see it's been 4 days if that so I'm coming tomorrow see yall and maybe they will be more accommodating so I can change my rating to a 5star with a good...
Read moreGame Express is an absolute gem and a true relic of 2000's gaming in NYC. It has a special place in my heart, reminding me of the golden era when mom-and-pop gaming shops were plentiful, offering great deals and personal service. The nostalgia I feel walking into this store is unmatched, and it's become my go-to spot for all things video games, especially retro titles. The store has an incredible selection of PS2 games, which has allowed me to set up my childhood console and relive some of my best gaming memories. Whether it's classic WWE games, The Godfather, or Max Payne, this place has all the iconic titles I grew up playing. What makes Game Express stand out even more is their commitment to fair pricing. They offer the best trade-in deals I've ever received—I've never had to take a loss when selling games here. In an era where everyone is buying from digital marketplaces like the PlayStation Store or Xbox Marketplace, this store remains my top choice for both modern and retro gaming. If you're a fan of old-school gaming, Game Express is a must-visit. The selection, prices, and the overall experience are something you just can’t find...
