I did not know that a beach existed in NYC until I accidentally found it from the 8th floor of Whitney Museum. Once I shockingly found out its existence, I had to see it from up close.

The property is beautifully maintained and is being monitored by security staffs. There are plenty of seating areas, shaded, throughout the park. People are ‘sun-tanning’ in the lawn area and in the sand area. The vibe is stunning. The night view overlooking the downtown area must be magnificent. I am coming back during sunset/evening...

I've watched them build, well re-build, the Gansevoort peninsula the last several years both from the water and land. It is another jewel in the park's many even if the wetland estuarine area is less expansive than I'd originally hoped (same with Pier 26/25) but it is a start. While it is less a beach than a sandbox it is still an interesting spot and I'm looking forward to landing a kayak there and sitting in one of the beach chairs this winter (yes, this winter, when it is...

I've Never Been or Heard of Gansevoort Beach park 🏞️ before. I Never Knew that they're were such beaches that can be Directly in the City! 🏙️🌆 ButThanks for the Google Maps 🗺️🗾 Search, that brought me out here! So I Love it, the sand looked typical, & clean, let alone, I Loved those blue lounge chairs were Very Comfortable!!
