Read moreI just came across this Harbor Freight page and it's like I have deja view. The exact same experience pquin77 had with rosey, happened to me. First let me say I am new to the HarborFreight mentality. For years I would only buy the best tool of the manufactorers line. Then I took a big tile job, lobby and halls of an apartment building. I needed a tile saw large enough to cut 18"tile diagonally. Name brand was over $1000.00. Couldn't justify it. Just so happened that Harbor Freight had a brick and tile saw on sale with a 20% coupon which came to like $175.00. I couldn't believe the price. I bought it not expecting much, forget about it. The machine is a beast. Ok, the blade does suck. Changed that straight away. But everything else about the machine after tweaking is as good as the primo, over $1000.00 machines. I'm sold on Harbor Freight. For years I wouldn't step foot in one of their stores. Don't get me wrong, some of their offerings are cheaply made, inferior to just about any other brand. Just avoid them. And if you buy one, and then realize it was a mistake, you have 30 days to bring it back for a FULL REFUND. Really nothing lost except some of your time. It's truly a great friendly experience. It's all really good, except for Rosie, Rosy. Not sure how she spells her name, but she seams to enjoy being, how do I say it. Mean spirited, nasty, not sure. But I had a huge blow out with her. Actually screaming at her, to the point that the next I went to the store, I apologized to the other store employees. To my surprise, some said that they were actually happy that I did that because she apparently treats them with the same nasty attitude. I will wait on a longer check out line just...
Read moreHorrible customer service by the manager. I am not a contractor just an apartment dweller that needs a few basics. I went in to buy black tape. I need one for a project. Not a dozen. Of course I ended up picking up ten other things to purchase. They advertise black tape for 1.49. There was a pack of ten. I need one. I asked the manager to sell me one and he says I will only sell you ten. He says you take ten or nothing because we don’t any. But they do have. He is showing it to me. Then he says buy ten you will need them all.Where did customer service end and trying to force consumers what they don’t need begin? The local mom and pop hardware store went out of business because contractors use placed like this. What about the average person who does not need 10 black tapes? The basics should be in stock. It’s not the first time I go and they don’t have things in stock. So now I must drive to Home Depot, which has great customer service, which is more than a few miles away to buy one black tape. waste of gas and money because a manger does not know how to service the average...
