Iāve been here three times, two good experiences, clean and professional, upscale place. But this time I got Fiona, who was rude and unhelpful from the start. I had my newborn strapped to my chest, a diaper bag, and a shopping bag, plus my sonās pacifier and hat in hand. I asked to do my mani first in case he woke up and so I could tend to him. Fiona snapped that since I had gel polish on I needed to do the pedi first or Iād be wasting my time š. She did the pedi and when I was done, she asked if I wanted to put on sandals (I didnāt get polish), and I said no and asked her to help me with my socks and uggs. She stared me down and said just put on the slippers because my feet were still wet. But I know itās because she didnāt want to help me.
Hereās the thing. I didnāt want the slippers because it would be that much harder to get down from the tiled pedicure area onto the floor, plus I had my stuff and my baby/his stuff and the foil/gloves on my hands to soak off the gel polish. This woman literally sat there and watched me struggle to get my stuff, get up, and get down the tiled stairs for no less than five minutes and did not lift a finger or ask if I wanted help. Again, I had my month old kid strapped to my chest and full hands. As soon as I got to the floor she turned her back to me and marched over to the manicure seat, pulling out the chair but not pushing it in when I sat. It was as if she enjoyed seeing me have a hard time.
Everyone else at this salon gives assistance getting clientsā stuff for them and helps them descend from the pedi seat. One of the other techs even gave me a concerned look when I went to the manicure area because she noticed I was struggling.
I never do this, but Fiona was so rude I decided not to tip. As I was stuffing my wallet away, she pushed her tip envelope at me and demanded, āTip in cash please.ā I told her I wasnāt going to tip her because she was rude and walked out.
Separately, they also charge an extra $10 fir gel polish removal if you donāt get gel again. Which makes a basic mani pedi with no polish $70. For these baseline services, Iām definitely checking out some of the more reasonably priced salons in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUGH! This was my second time going to this nail salon, the first for a regular pedicure that went well. I brought in my daughter and her friend this time to get a gel manicures for the fist time. When mine were 'finished' they didn't look uniform and was a hole in one of them. I showed it to the woman doing my daughters nails and she told the one that did mine to to redo all of my right hand. My woman then filed away a layer (I think) and added 2 more layers. I am certainly no expert on gel, but my nails on one hand are 2 inches thick which looks awkward.
Next, my daughter's friend went up to the register to pay with Apple Pay and it was not working. The receptionist was SO RUDE to this 12 year old about it. I ended up paying but the rudeness was completely unnecessary.
Finally...The woman who did my manicure was really rough with my hands and it hurt when she was doing the manicure. When I got home, there was redness around the base of my thumb and pointer finger. Over the next few days my thumb began to swell up and was very painful. I was unable to bend it and if I hit the swollen spot, it was excruciatingly painful. I googled the symptoms and found out that it was most likely a bacterial infection from the salon. To remedy the infection, I had to soak my thumb in hot water for 15 min every 30 minutes for a few hours. I happened to have some topical antibiotics on hand that I put on it overnight. It is feeling better today but not 100%.
All of this to say that I would NOT GO to this nail salon if you have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there today for the first time just based on what the place looks like (fancy unlike all the places around here and from what I can tell it looks clean and professional. The place looks clean and neat which convinced me to walk in and immediately I get service because it was fairly empty. I wanted a basic pedicure for 39 dollars but ended up getting a calluses removal treatment which amount to 50 dollars (I forgot the price but is around the 50s) and add a gel manicure for forty something dollars (again I donāt remember the exact price but you get an idea) Iām satisfied with the way my hands look but I agreed with other reviewers about the process being rushed - i came home to read other reviews and some said the same thing. My feet didnāt came out the way I expected it for the price I paid, Im not happy with the way my toe nails look, and the whole process was rushed as well and my feet definitely donāt look like I paid $50 dollars for a pedicure. I donāt like leaving negative reviews but I after paying 100 dollars plus tip I wouldāve wanted to love this place. I might give it another chance in the future because I really like how clean it is but here you just paying for the looks which is a total bummer because the place and price do not match the...
