A Kid-Friendly Gem with Amazing Food and Even Better Staff!
We recently dined at CorthaiYou, and I canât say enough good things about our experience. This place is not only a haven for delicious food but also an incredibly kid-friendly restaurant, which is rare to find.
First, let's talk about the food. The wings were absolutely divineâcrispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. The calamari was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of crunch. But the real star of the show was the drunken noodles, which were bursting with savory goodness and had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. My family and I were in food heaven!
But what truly sets CorthaiYou apart is the staff. They went above and beyond when our kids started to make a mess (including one unfortunate incident where one of them threw up). The staff handled the situation with such grace and understanding. They quickly cleaned up, made sure the other customers were taken care of, and even offered us additional free items to ensure we were comfortable.
Their kindness didnât stop thereâthey were incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the meal, making sure we had everything we needed. Their willingness to accommodate our family, despite the chaos, truly made us feel valued and cared for.
If you're looking for a restaurant that offers fantastic food and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, CorthaiYou is the place to go. We will...
Read moreWe were hungry after a doctor's appointment, we looked for restaurants in the area, and this place came up in my search. I'm so glad that it did. The experience was fantastic from the moment we walked into the door. We were greeted, seated, and served by a couple who I think were the owners. We had the calamari to start, and it was nice, fresh, delicious, and had the perfect crisp with a homemade sweet chili sauce. Since it was lunchtime, we opted for the lunch special. The lunch special acame with a spring roll and your choice of soup or salad and an entree, we went with the Tom Yum Nam Kon (lemongrass soup with mushroom and spice) and it did not disappoint! I can't stop thinking about how good it was! My husband had the fried rice with beef, and I had the Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodle) with chicken. For drinks, we had the hibiscus tamarind iced tea, and I regret not ordering one to go. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Our experience was great overall. They were very nice and kept checking in to make sure we were okay. The decor was very warm & and cozy. I didn't want to leave, lol. They had these cute little pillows on the seats and flower walls that you can take pictures in front of. Lastly, I thought the name was so cute, being that they're located on Cortelyou. I for sure will be back in the near future. Thank you CorThaiyou for the...
Read moreOur calamari wasn't breaded, very oily and served in a sort of clump with pieces sticking together. I forced my partner to not complain because I was so hungry I just wanted to power through, hoping the other dishes would deliver. We came here on opening and I enjoyed myself so was hopeful. Our second appetizer, the sausages, didn't come out until we got our entrée - texture was off and I couldnt handle more than a bite. Prik Khing was also lack luster in the flavor department, overall just tasted watered down. I'm sad that their food is taking up space in my belly, especially knowing how much truly amazing food exists within walking distance. I mean cool, they have a vegan menu but I would hope you don't need to compromise on the flavor of other non-vegan dishes to cater to multiple audiences. On the service and general décor front - There was a man that I assume works there walking around in sweat pants, seemingly distracting the staff from attending to customers. And the actual seating and space a mess with odds and ends - eg half full polar water in a display shelf? I could go on but think this is enough to prove myself as a true customer since the owner questioned the validity of my initial post. Save yourself a little disappointment and hit up Mondayoff down the...
