Take the trip overthe bridge!!! I went to see about trading in my suv for a Certified Used Dodge Durango. Although I had an appointment when I arrived no sales person from CJDR was available so I was given a sales person from Subaru instead. I test drove the vehicle but the salesman I was given was not knowledgeable in the Durango so he couldn't answer any questions I had. Not to mention the air conditioning started blowing hot air mid drive and he told me that the eco friendly option was on and that causes the air to blow hot. When we arrived back at dealership and parked I noticed some marks on the front bumper that I was told was considered normal wear and tear. We went into the dealership to discuss the staring point for what I figured would be negotiations. The salesperson left to look at my vehicle to get an appraisal. While he was gone, I went back outside to further inspect the scratches I had seen after the test drive. There were dozens of marks and dents and dings. The front bumper has a deep scratch and dent that had miscolored paint over it to disguise it. I pointed it out to the salesperson and he agreed that the Durango would need a whole new front bumper and he would see about working on the asking price or having it repaired. The front tires were almost bald. How this is even considered Certified pre owned is beyond me. We went in and he went to the sales manager. After 20 min he came back with the sales manager whose name I didn't get but it was by far the worst experience ever! He did not try to negotiate anything. He didn't ask for x amount down to reach my monthly payment goal, nothing. He was offering me less than my current vehicle is worth. He didn't explain anything to me and he was rude as rude could be and that's putting it lightly. I mentioned the damage the Durango had and he laughed and said its normal wear and tear. Even though I am a female, I know about vehicles and this Durango has significant damage that they were trying to camouflage with paint. There are dozens of small dents all over the truck. I walked out and went back to CJDR and spoke to a manager there and told him about my terrible experience. No customer should ever be treated or spoken to the way I was. He was very apologetic and he did set me up with another salesperson who did speak to me further and explain things more thoroughly. Altho I should have walked away when I noticed all the damage on this vehicle, I figured why not see what they could do. While I intially started with negotiations that I knew weren't going to happen, I expected a lot more back and forth to get a deal. They don't know what my finances looked like or how much I honestly could have put down. I only gave a starting point. When I mentioned the damage I noticed on the vehicle, it was ignored. I came here because staying on the Island is a lot more convenient. But I was offered a way better deal from another CJDR dealership. Take the trip over the bridge...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Worst experience ever at any dealership. Sales was alright but the service department and financial department tell you false information and never answer your phone calls. Leased a vehicle last year and about a month and a half into the lease my vehicle stopped working. Took it into the shop and it sat there for months with no communication. Whenever I called it was something different and I always got the runaround and never received a call back. I called every few weeks and still no update. After several months I contacted Chrysler capital to escalate the situation and they also had issues trying to get to the bottom of it. Finally the service department gave up and Chrysler said we would go through the lemon law process. After another few months I was told to go to the dealer to receive a check for my down payment (not the taxes or anything more). I go to the dealership and am waiting for the Chrysler capital agent to meet me. I was told by the dealership that they did not receive any check and the appointment was going to be canceled. I call up Chrysler capital and turns out the agent was already at the dealership waiting for me. Again being told false information. I also spoke with Anthony the Financial Manager because I was advised I would receive a refund for a warranty I had paid for. Over the phone I was told I would receive a $759 check I could either pick up or they will mail to my house. I asked to pick it up because I wanted to get the check as soon as possible so there wouldn’t be any confusion with mail. After a month I called because I didn’t receive a call to pick up the check and spoke to the receptionist who left a message to call me back. Still no call back after another month. I called again and again and every time it’s “I’ll have so and so call you back.” Finally today (4 months after I was told I would receive a check back) I called and was told I would get a call back. Finally I received a call only to be told I would not be receiving a check and that it went to the payoff of the vehicle and I should’ve waited until the car was fully paid off to the bank to request the refund. With all the trouble I received from the service department I knew something like this would happen being that I hadn’t received any communication. Everybody who works here needs to really get on the same page and stop providing false information to the customers. I have never had this many issues at one place in my life. Not only am I still out of money, I will not be receiving a $759 check I was promised to be refunded to me. I guess it really is better to car shop off...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at Dodge service department with the manager John and advisor Edward Diaz. I came in to change a light bulb in the front of the truck. The prior week, I came in for an oil change, when completing service on my truck, the technician went into my truck and stepped on the gas and sped up to the door. I informed my advisor Eric, he saw it with his two own eyes and said Im sorry, I know I saw that too, he shouldn't have done that! Was there a reason to floor the truck by slaming your foot on the gas petal to break my truck almost smashed the truck into another customers vehicle. This is was foolish! You cant ruin customers cars because you want to take advantage and make more money! Monday at 12pm, I walked into Dodge and John was standing by the desk and asked what I needed. I said my bulb is out, needs to be changed. He said well I can't now people are out the lunch come back after 2pm. I go back for 2:15pm and get turned away by John. I said you told me come back after 2:00pm. He said ok hold on. He asks me what I'm there for I told him need a bulb change. He said ok. Just give us time to replace the bulb. I wait, he comes out and says I have a massive leak, oil all over the hood. Now if that was the case I would of saw oil on the floor, I would of smelt it. Nothing. He said the cabin filter needs to be replaced, valve replaced, change the light bulb. Truck needs to stay because he need a day to replace a PCV valve. My truck is barely driven. I did not have any oil leaking prior to dropping off my truck to Dodge. I don't know what happened with the technician, but I should NOT be responsible for anything going wrong. He broke the valve he made the oil go all over my truck and trying to say it oh it happens. John told me dont worry we will take care of you. When I went to pick up my vehicle no one was there to explain my invoice to me, just was sent to the receptionist and she said my bill was for $631 dollars. I asked her what about the coupons I sent to my advisor, she said he cant apply them and refused to apply my coupons. Edward Diaz and manager John were no where to be found!! I came in for service to replace a light bulb and came out paying $631 on issues I did not have when going into the Dodge shop. Now driving my vehicle I have bad fuses of oil because they ruined my truck. I just had an oil change the week before! This is NOT the first time I had an issue with this service. Last time the technician FORGOT to put the oil cap on and made oil go all over the housing underneath the hood. Everything had to be replaced and cleaned because of oil...
