On April 29, 2025 LoPorto Fence Co. installed my fence! They did a terrible job! I paid $4,700 for removing and disposing of existing fence, installing two 6’ high sections, seven 8’ high sections of fence, and to shave a tree stump down, to minimize space under the fence, all just on my eastern property line! They didn’t shave the stump down enough’, leaving an unacceptably high space under the entire span! They could have used two custom posts, cutting the holes to carry the fence, just on the section over the stump, or, preferably, shave the stump lower! Neither of the owners; John LoPorto, or Eric LoPorto, ever came to inspect the job! When my wife and I complained, They wanted to charge us another $500, for a sloppy, unacceptable repair, which when they came to do, I sent them away after they told me that they planned to slap some PVC boards face screwed to the bottom rail! Whatever they were gonna do, should’ve been done for free! I told them I wasn’t happy with their repair idea, I told them what would be acceptable to me, and that it should be for free! Read moreI liked the place, they have different fences on display and friendly man John who gave us a quote for one section of aluminum fence and gate (no installation). When I and my wife showed up to pay I asked him if he can make a discount if we pay cash, he sad no, so we used credit card. All is good, until a week later I glanced on receipt and saw the $35 "Tax and fee summary surcharge" slapped on top of the total, after the delivery and sales tax. I call the guy and asking about it he says "well we charge a 3% if you use credit card", I aske him why did not tell me about it before in the store, he acknowledged that he forgot to say but apparently that they have a notice posted somewhere in the store. And here is the kicker, in order to keep customer (me) happy he offered a $35 discount the "next time" I order something. Dear LoPorto Fence, when customer feels himself a sucker after doing business with you, you did something wrong. Advice for owners, if you have a forgetful employee, don't charge the 3% credit fee, instead give a 3% cash discount, and don't call it a tax. When messed up do not play cheap tricks like 3rd...
